Think this will be our biggest crowd of the season to date, hoping United bring a few, with their form of late. Could be over 18,000 at this

I don't think they will for a Friday night game on the tv just after Christmas. It'll still be the biggest crowd outside of Glasgow that weekend though.

As well as a big crowd it should be a great atmosphere.

Time to put these jokers in their place

Ok, I'd take a 1-0 right now.

Hibs should be splitting stand and make Utd sit upper tier.

Surely Utd will fill lower tier ?

Unless the rule has changed you can't do that.

Any split in a stand has to be vertical, ie you cannot have home fans above away fans or vice versa.

That happens at Ibrox any time there's a large away support and the Sevco fans in the top tier of the Broomloan stand are directly above the away fans.

Fair enough Billy, last few times at ER any split in the stand has been vertical.

I would go as far to say if Utd have the whole of the lower then we won't be getting any of the South.

I think you're right, but it will seem a pretty silly decision not to give them half the top and half the bottom if we sell out the other 3 stands.

As big a game as it is, I don't think that'll be an issue. I'd be surprised if we sold 16,000 seats in our stands. Would be a nice surprise though.

It's, more or less, singles only left in the orange sections of the East and North. A couple of exceptions.

I don't know if the online map shows only the sales of tickets that were made available online in the first place (i.e. some of the "sold" tickets on the online map are being held back for in person sales) or whether it's an aggregate map of online and in-person/by phone sales.

I still the crowd will be determined by the Falkirk result. A win will see a last minute flurry to be there. I hope we get some noise and a result.

This should be our biggest crowd of the season ... a huge game for us and Friday night football is still a bit of a novelty for us at least. I'm surprised Hibs aren't looking at splitting the south down the middle, its a decision we could live to regret if the demand for tickets is good, which it looks like it will be.

A lot depends on our result at Falkirk, it will be as tough as usual but we simply have to find a way to win there.

West - 1067 remaining (plus hospitality - c.500)

So we have 2570 standard seats left for sale.

So with around 15700 seats available in the hibs end, we've already sold around 13,130, plus Hospitality which is sold out, so around 13,300. Utd have sold 1000 already, so the attendance is already at around 14,300 plus whatever is sold going forward, with 8 days of ticket sales still to go. :aok:

Beat Falkirk, and I reckon 18k. Lose or draw and I think around 16,500

Sound thinking. Falkirk game huge. If we lose or draw we are in a tense chase on United and manufacture loser excuses about 'getting our full squad fit' or 'doing business in the January window' or 'waiting for United to get the injuries we've had' and the like. Win at Falkirk and we're right on them and it's a proper high stakes clash.

If we lose both games in addition to a home draw against Raith, we really have to face up to our shortcomings.

What if we draw with Falkirk and United lose at Dumbarton? We can go top with a win! There is a long way to go in the league and if fans are waiting on the Falkirk result then they are part time and not backing Hibernian when we need them. But in truth I don't think many are not going to attend due to one game v Falkirk!

Sales look decent online. If we lose to Falkirk, there will be a late rush and we'll sell 16,000. If we win at Falkirk, it will become a hot ticket and we'll do upwards of 18,000.

Thought I'd get this bad boy back at the table, as tickets were already selling well, and people might want to strike now, to sit in their preferred spots.

Also a run on seats might make the club decide earlier rather than later what they are going to do about the away stand. Looks like a section of that will be the one for home late buyers.

Utd have apparently been told they're getting no more tickets, so allowing Hibs some leeway on this decision. Assume it's either going to remain empty or will be given to Hibs fans if demand dictates. Bit of a shame if some Utd fans are prevented from attending, but don't think it would be that many and we may well sell more tickets to home fans for that section than we would away.

This is the most definative game of the season so far. People need to get along and fill the place. I will be there anticipating a Hibs win. If we go 4 points ahead and leave DU with two loses in a row I think that will be a huge step forward. Plus we get key players back after that. :flag:

With it being on TV I doubt they'd sell much more than 1,900, and they'll be doing well to shift those. It probably makes the segregation easier, and as you say, once the home stands sell out, there may be anywhere up to 1,000 (or even more) Hibs fans looking for tickets in that end.
