Brought a lot of pleasure to folk in his life.

Born on exactly the same day as me. Lifestyle taken its toll. I've hopefully got more frustrating days at ER ahead of me

He made no secret about how he abused his body and asked for no sympathy. Love his music or hate it he was a Rock n Roll legend. RIP Rick.

I had to laugh when I read "May leads tributes to UK rock star". Turns out it's Brian May of Queen!

Mr Parfitt would have laughed too, I think.

Would have been better if they had the headline "Queen pays tribute...." but then again, maybe her majesty might be a fan of Quo. Who knows?

I only recently realised that Scorpio Rising by Death in Vegas/Liam Gallagher sampled this Quo tune.

Any other psychedelic classics like this from their early days?

I'm not sure but I'm going to give their first album a spin on Spotify later though. Apparently that was their early style but their management and label suggested a change of style to achieve more success.
