Saw him play for yam v. Birkirkara in Malta. It was a warm night. He spent most of the time in the centre circle, absolutely dripping with sweat, like a white Nade. Also scored a 'goal' chalked off for offside, when he clearly wasn't.

Me too. Was on 7 minutes, before he ran out of puff, and had the goal stood then the yam would most not likely have exited the EL to a team from the 49th ranked league in Europe. I was sat with the Maltese press and they were all pissing themselves. As was I.

The game being at the Hibernians Stadium added a certain picquancy

Second only to Watt in the Hertz fans hate list. As above, I'd be happier to see Utd get him than Ciftci.

Not Commons class and I'm hoping we'll sign better players than Sammon in the window.

Hmm tough one. I'd rather they signed him than Cifti but equally I'd like Hearts to be stuck with him on their wage bill for 3 years [emoji848]

Yeah I guess so. As long as they don't sign Cifti as well. He would score at this level.

I had a season watching the clown at Bramall Lane.
I am delighted he's signed for the Tangerines. He needs to drop down another division to find his level.

Agreed - the Yams will also have to pay him off, he won't walk away from a three year deal from them without a decent wedge.

No as bad a player as people making out, would score goals in our league i would say against some awful defences. Guarenteed will score against us. We are in a tight scrap and them signing a striker is not really going to improve our chances of winning the league, it will improve theirs!!!

Let's say he's their big signing of January - how many goals is he expected to fetch? Let's say he scores 10 goals in 15 games then that's hardly prolific for their top striker is it? Considering he's scored something like 10 goals in 80 appearances in the last 2 and a half seasons i'm being generous with this tally.

If NL stops whatever is going on with JC and gets him back in the team, he'll score double that. Keats will equal it and Graham/Holt will at least score that between them.

He's pish and i'll be delighted if he's their main man leading the line. Mcgregor will put him on his arse

20 goals in 160 odd apps according to Wiki, since he joined Derby in 2014.

No idea how accurate it is, even with most of them being at alot higher level than our league (i.e Championship down south) but hes only got 2 goals in 23 games for Hearts, 1 in 18 in the league..

Cant say im overly worried about it, he wouldnt get ahead of any of our strikers.

Hertz giving DUFC an utterly useless footballer - it's blatantly obvious that this is an indirect favour from our Pink Neighbours. They clearly need us back in the top league for some money spinners, how else will they upgrade the bus shelter without them? :hmmm:

10 in 15 would be a very good return.

I would love Lennon to sign someone that scores that many.

However I don't think sammon will get 10.

i think he'll be lucky to score half that tbh but it was more the point that if he's their main january target, then all our strikers will match whatever he scores so i'm not worried by this piece of business.

More of a desperate than a emergency loan?

and how many injured players does a club need to get a loan deal.

we were missing 3 out of 4 of our midfield plus keatings and the goalie.

We have 4 midfield players injured McGinn, Fyvie, McGeouch and Handling. Not sure how many strikers (if any) they currently have injured?

Joined Derby in 2012. 5 goals a year. Pretty miserable scoring record which means that he's odds on to score against us if he goes to the Arabs.

Really don't get all this " he will score against us" talk. We have the best defensive record in Britain. His scoring record is , well, crap [and that's being kind to him].
Anyway, even if he did manage a goal it wont matter as we will be 3-0 up at that point. Nothing more than a last minute consolation goal.

None. Any team in the Championship or below can sign an "emergency" loan. There is no need for an emergency despite the name.

Ah right. Thought you were questioning the number of goals that he's scored. I think it's fair to say that in the past that strikers who haven't been able to hit the net even from a few yards out have managed to get a goal against us. Same as teams who haven't won for months have broken their duck when they have played us.

Maybe just maybe it will be different from now on.
