This is a huge industry believe it or not. The term 'eSports' covers a broad range of games, although you'd have to imagine Hibs will focus on FIFA in the main. Top League of Legends players are pulling in £50,000 a week to play, and that's without adding in prize money from tournaments.

Really good initiative by Hibs.

League of legends money is nuts! Massive events, they recently broadcast one all night tournament in the omni centre.

I must be reading this wrong....theres absolutley no way 34m people went to a Vue cinema to watch that in the UK. Quite obviously.

My oldest is completely obsessed, planning a trip sometime to see it live. I know a lot more about it than a 50 year old woman normally would :)

Sure it will be back in London sooner rather than later! The game itself is a bit childish looking on first glance, but the strategy and level of depth at high skill levels is absolutely incredible. Nice to see the stigma surrounding competitive gaming is starting to dissipate a little.

A lot of big cluns are getting involved: Schalke, Fenerbahce, PSG etc.
