Was he not the one that never gave the Griffith free kick goal against hearts at ER a few years back?

His name seems to spring to mind when I think about that but could be wrong.

No, that was Euan Norris.

Madden is a decent ref. I assume he is over his health issues then.

Happy with this appointment.

Bobby is a decent ref compared to his fellow officials.

Was fourth official in the final.

Ah ok thanks, apologies then! For some reason when I saw the name I thought of that incident.

Hibs will be the Friday kings!!!

There's nothing surer.

I'm happy with that appointment. Lets the game flow and doesn't try to hog the limelight

Disclaimer: If he has a nightmare, I take that all back :greengrin

Decent ref and wish him all the best in his personal life. Just a game.

Was fourth official in the final.

He was and started the lead up to the winning goal with a quick pass to Sir David for a quick throw

He made an excellent cameo appearance in the final putting 4 minutes of injury time up on the board

Decent ref imo, always seems relaxed and tends to let the games flow where possible. Not like some of the stop/start refs we've had recently....

Gave us a pen in the New Year derby win when Butcher was boss.

Bloke at the work is a Queens Park supporter and handed me a list of 7 referees yesterday asking what they had in common. (Turns out we have 7 FIFA referees now.) My answer to his question was nothing in common but the odd one out is Madden as he's a decent ref, the rest are c***.

We've had seven FIFA refs for the last 20 years with the exception of one year.

Good ref and very glad that he has overcome a serious illness to get back again.

Hardly noticed him at our game on Saturday - which is high praise. One rather harsh booking for us and one not given for them (but that's through maroon tinted specs) = apart from that as usual controlled the game well and a pleasant change from the gut wrenchingly bad standard of attention seekers like Beaton and Collum.

Not a fan of Bobby Madden but if he has a decent refereeing performance on Friday without controversy then he will have done decent job.

Looking forward to it now. Would normally allow an hour or so to drive up there but being a Friday evening will allow an extra 20-30 mins for heavier traffic. Bearing in mind I'm a 50-60 mph all the way if clear! Rather get there in one piece you know.

Could be that he was cheating on our behalf!
😂
Actually no, is only us that the ref's cheat against. Lol
