Joe Corre (son of Malcolm McLaren) burned £5m worth of pink memorabilia in protest of a planned 40th celebration of the birth of Punk.
"Punk was never, never meant to be nostalgic" said Joe.
He may have a point.

I read about this yesterday, and my first thought was "fair play". I wish there was something that I felt so strongly about that I would be willing to burn £5million.

Maybe so, but its still egotistical nonsense and without any merit. Sell it. Donate it anonymously to musicians charity or the like. To just literally burn £5 million when there's food kitchens is pretty disgusting to me.

"Responding to the news, Lydon told The Metro: “If you’re going to destroy £5 million worth of anything, isn’t it better to sell it and give the money to charity? You selfish fking lingerie expert. Why don’t you burn your own bra?”
