Anyone know when this is?

3rd Round is played this weekend so I thought the draw would be made for the 4th round on Monday but I can't find anything for it online. Anyone know for sure?

Last draw was made on the Tuesday after the weekend games. It was confirmed on SFA website on the Wednesday before the weekend, so likely they'll announce the 4th round draw date any time now.

You'd get tickets at Ibrox no bother, remember in cups we get around 25% or something like that if we want it.

That would be subject to police approval. I'm not sure they would authorise us getting such a large allocation at Ibrox.

The next time we play Rangers I expect it to be rather nasty.

Not sure the police have any say in how many tickets we'd get  Even if they did, we only need to point out that Celtic get 7k tickets every time they play there so there's no problem us having 5k fans at a game.

In the Scottish Cup, away teams are entitled to a minimum of 20% of tickets, as long as the club feels sure they can sell them.

If we were drawn away to T'Rangers, Hibs would entitled to request 10k tickets, although I'd imagine giving us the whole of the Broomloan Stand (8k) would be the most logical thing to do.

The biggest away support we've had there in recent years was when we beat them 3-0 in the Cup and had 6,400 Hibbies. I'd be willing to bet we could beat that if we were to play them there this season.

The Yams at ER would do me. Robbie would set his team up for a money spinning replay. Any team which bottles it and surrenders a two goal lead at their home for a money spinning replay will do for me.

Think I remember winning the thing too after Robbie and the Yams made known their desire to obtain a money spinning replay and completely bottled it.

I'd rather Celtic got a hard game

Every other club in Scotland has to hope that they have an off day in one of their cup matches because if they don't then they're certainties to win the treble.

They're miles ahead of every other team in the country. They've just torn apart the team that most people would consider to be the second best side in Scotland and they were probably playing in second gear for the majority of the match.

Problem with Hibs' early round draws in the cups over the past few years is that we never get a genuinely interesting away tie - it's always a game at home or away at a league rival/team we've played recently.

However, I can confirm that we will definitely draw Brechin or Arbroath away - I've wanted an Angus tie in the cups ever since I became a fan and as this is the first year I can't physically make one, we'll get one. You're welcome.

They could beat Raith 9-0 but Celtic or ourselves will just put them out instead.

If Bonnyrigg Rose beat Dumbarton then the tie could be anywhere but Easter Road.

The logical one would be Tynecastle but I tend to think it would be Livingston or Falkirk. Remember that it still requires the SFA Board's approval and what happened to East Kilbride last season

In the absence of the loyalty scheme, tickets will be scarce for Dumbarton. Sales were slow for previous games there, but with this being the cup, demand will way exceed supply and it will be hard lines for those who have supported the club there previously should they miss out.
A decent draw and we will look on with interest to see who we do play.

There was close on 3k at the semi final against Auchinleck in the junior Scottish a few years ago.

Whilst I agree it wouldn't be played there, it's not really much worse than standing on the muddy hill behind the goals at Alloa or the like. Think the issue would be lack of facilities, toilets etc.

Not to mention the increased exposure you'd be getting on Sky Sports News compared to a live video feed on the Scottish Cup's Facebook page.

I watched the video live on Facebook and there was around 7,000 viewers. It probably would have been six figures on Sky Sports News, not to mention the times it'd be repeated then over the next few hours. Absolute amateurs.

This makes the argument for not making the draw on radio at a selected ground immediately after a Scottish Cup day to provide more exposure now obsolete.
I'd happily see a return to the entertainment of listening to the draw on Sportsound while you are still in football mode soon after a game. It worked fine for many years, and has to surely be better than what we were treated to this evening.

Of course it should go ahead at Bonnyrigg if they get through, why should it be changed just to generate more money?
Teams shouldn't be in the competition if they aren't capable of hosting matches.
Realistically, how many would turn up at Tynecastle for this anyway ?
A less than half full Tynecastle holds no appeal & isn't what these sort of cup ties are about.

They could host the match, but they could generate far more cash at a bigger ground which would set them up for years! It's a game they may not see again for many years, so they should milk it for all they can, IF they get through of course.
I personally think there would be massive appeal, especially if they could put our tie on a different day from the Hearts tie. Us as cup holders with have a very healthy backing, and I could see a fair few thousand neutrals coming out from the east/Midlothian areas.

I guess it comes down to the polis and council. For all it has a capacity of 2200 I wonder when they last reached that? Also from a colleague who was at the Rose game on Saturday it struggled with 1300 there, shortage of turnstiles, massive ques building back to the main road etc. Personally hope its Tynie if it is Bonnyrigg as tickets would be a nightmare and would be pretty much taking up by away season ticket holders, plus it would be a bigger payday for Hibs.

It's a sporting competition rather than a money making scheme. As Nakedmanoncrack argues, all clubs should be playing at home if their grounds have been deemed acceptable enough to enter the competition. Moving potential fixtures like that to half empty neutral stadiums loses a bit of that cup magic that we romantics enjoy.

In the French Cup, if two teams are drawn that are 2 leagues apart (eg. D1 & D3), then the lower league side automatically become the home team. The lower league side can then ask to move the match to a bigger ground should they so wish.

On a cold rainy thursday night in February of this year I was at a match where St Malo (non league) played GFC Ajaccio (from Corsica & top league at the time) in Guingamp - 80 miles from St Malo! Still managed to pull a crowd of about 10k.

The romantic of the cup is great if you're guaranteed a ticket. But with the Rose only obliged to give us 440 briefs and with us rumored to have 350 away season tickets i'd rather it be at a venue where I'm guaranteed to be in attendance, for purely selfish reasons. :greengrin

Everyone who is a season ticket holder got the chance to sign up so there can't really be any complaints about tickets. If its Dumbarton we are getting 700 and 350 of those are away seasons plus what the players and officials get so thats circa 300 to go on sale to season ticket holders. Will we move that game too?

Tyne castle would need to be payed for as well, I think I'd rather it was at the rose if we play them.

The romantic of the cup is great if you're guaranteed a ticket. But with the Rose only obliged to give us 440 briefs and with us rumored to have 350 away season tickets i'd rather it be at a venue where I'm guaranteed to be in attendance, for purely selfish reasons. :greengrin

TBH I can see Dumbarton winning 2-3 nil at the replay.

Dumbarton can only give us 700, you're not guaranteed to get one of those either unless you're an employee of Hibs or an away season ticket holder.

No but you said you'd like the game moved if its rose so you be guaranteed a ticket. If it's Dumbarton then a lot will be left dissapointed.

Queues probably caused by pay at the gate, if they get hibs it will be all ticket. Think I read that they had over 3,000 at a Junior Cup in the last few years

Do they have the abillity seggregate fans though as this would be a must on police instruction. Theres only one way in and out as wellis there not?

Having said that, Turiff were allowed to have us there although fans were kept appart during the game. A record crowd for them as well.

It could only be me

I've been at it a few years now after I sat in the East when I was about 12 and was near the older gentleman who kicked it all off

We must keep it alive

In my time watching Hibs I have regularly seen us go out in this type of tie, obviously I don't want it to happen but it is my belief we will go out to Dumbarton.

And to the Aldo's on here I am more of a Hibs fan you will ever be. I contribute to HSL, I have club shares and my family have 4 season tickets.

Oh and another thing Aldo, you'll never see me call the team bottlers ( remember tynie 0-2 down ) the minute the 2nd went in you had us out :na na:

If you're going down that road then I've got an away season ticket. Didn't see you in Shrewsbury or Brondby does that make me a bigger fan than you?

Bonnyrigg Rose will seek an alternative venue should they defeat Dumbarton in their replay next Tuesday to set up a mouthwatering William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round home tie against holders Hibs. The Super League champions, who dominated Saturday’s 0-0 third-round match against the Sons, would look to play the tie – due to be played on the weekend of January 21-22 – away from their New Dundas Park home in order to maximise revenue, with Tynecastle, Meadowbank and Livingston’s Tony Macaroni Arena possibilities.

It will be whichever is cheapest as they're the home team so they'll foot the bill.

They haven't decided to seek an alternative venue should they defeat Dumbarton. It's not true.

So they would like to play the match at their own ground if they get through?
