Anyone know what the half season ticket cost last year? Seems quite high.

From memory it is pretty much same as it was last year for students and youths anyway.

Seems fine to me. £195 for 10 games? That's fine.

£195 for ten games does seem fine, £19.50 a game.

However the tenth game is being "thrown in" as a freebie, ie they really should be charging £195 for nine games.

£195 for nine games works out at £21.67 which wouldn't be much of a bargain.

Amazing video, very good!!

Only thing that could have made it better, put a Boyle strip on the wee squirrel and stick a jambo scarf on the depressed looking boxer dug.

Seen the ad on Facebook earlier, made me laugh, nice one Hibs. I presume the owners of the original were consulted :greengrin

Me and a mate were talking about getting a half-season ticket, and had actually been trying different sections the last few games to see where we would get one for. Unfortunatley I know that I will miss at least one game, so the £21.67 per game against £22 walk-up makes it hard for me to justify the up front cost (especially when I might miss more than one game).

The EEN Facebook article for this is laughable. Nothing but delusional Jambos. Still hurting

Many season ticket holders will miss a game or two during the course of a season due to varying reasons but make the commitment in the knowledge that Hibs are getting the money.

I would love to see a big take up of this and to see 16-17,000 through the gates in the second half of the season.

Exactly that. Had a season ticket for two seasons but only make about 12 of the 18 games for various reasons, but mainly because of the distance but even if I'm not there at least I feel like I've contributed.

They do, and I did for 12 years .. but then kids came along and my priorities had to change. Hibs will still get the money, possibly even more than the cost of the season ticket, it'll just be spread.

Top man... everyone's situation is different... revisiting this thread I was suddenly worried it was going to head off on a good fan/better fan/bloody brilliant fan tangent!!! :D

Going along regularly is very much a habitual practice, and what we have seen so far is a good number of walk ups returning week on week. It`s very easy for some to miss a few games then find something else to do on a Saturday, but to get them back and planning their Saturday`s round the fixture list again is great. I think we will see a decent tgake up on the half seasons, and a successful league campaign may well see those converted into full ST`s next term. Here`s hoping anyway!

Sorry, wasn't having a dig at you, your right priorities dictate where the money is spent. All I was saying that when buying a season ticket a lot of people won't gain any financial advantage. The last thing I would want to do is turn this thread into an "Uber fan" debate. Any money into the Hibs coffers is most welcome whether thro seasons, walk ups or otherwise.

Didn't take it as dig :aok:

When I had a season ticket I would usually miss enough games that meant I didn't make a saving, but having a great seat every week and not having to muck about with ticket purchases justified it (and the occassional cup final). That's why I was tempted to do the half-season ticket for the rest of this season, especially with upsurge in crowds.

It's great that fans can pay for season tickets, and there's no disputing the benefit for the club to be able to budget with gate money up front. Unfortunately I'm one of the fans that has to be "canny" with his money, so I'd need justification to pay such a large amount out at Christmas time.
