Give your honest opinion about how you see the result tonight (and not through rose, or tartan, tinted glasses ;-) )

p.s. Before anybody asks, I put England first because they're the home team.

Not surprised, I voted England Win as well.

Voted England, but you never know, with this being the year of Brexit, Trump and THAT cup victory anything is possible, however unlikely ...

Would love us to pile even more misery on the players from the "best league in the world", but sadly cannot see it happening.

A poor England side to win comfortably.

That said, it has been a week of incredible upsets in general thus far...............

1-0 England in a bit of a borefest, sadly.

Is excitement growing up there for the game?

I think the rivalry has always meant more to Scotland than England but I dont recall a more apathetic build up to an England Scotland match before down here. Its hardly the topic of conversation in the nations boozers and work places. Shame really when you think of the battles of old.

I predict a boring game played by boring players. Finding it hard to get excited about this, but a couple of beers beforehand might spur me into vague indifference...

I've got a feeling we might surprise a few people tonight. I'm not saying I think we'll win necessarily, but I think we'll put a good performance in.

I don't know about 'up there' but there's very little interest about the game here in Germany ;-)

Scotland have been awful for 20-30 years and that has probably taken its toll on the level of interest people have in the national team.

Honestly, when was the last time we had a truly word class player in our lineup? Sad to say, you'd probably have to go all the way back to Dalglish.

England to win unfortunately. We won't get humped mind you, perhaps 2-0 or 3-1.

The_Exile

England will pump us as per usual, restoring the natural order of us being the plucky loser, although this time they could put 11 guys from a random Red Lion pub on the Wembley pitch with blindfolds on and we'd still get pumped. More alarming for me is that after being a proud member of the Scotland Supporters Association for years, I'm past giving a **** about what the National Team get up to these days, and will likely switch between this and Jamie's Super Food on channel 4 to see if the wee twat finally manages to knock up something resembling food I could realistically make.

Loving the pessimism on this thread, very typical of Hibs.net :greengrin

Although Scotland have given me absolutely no reason to be - I'm optimistic, I think we could nick a 1-0. England aren't in great shape either right now and we're due a win against them.

Do you really think that us playing quite well, but getting beat anyway would surprise anyone ???? Scotland have been doing that on and off for about 60 years !

At his peak, you'd have to put Goram up there as one of the top goalies in the world of the time. But outfield players, there's been none. Collins was class, but not truly world class.

2-2, leigh griffiths equalising with a penalty in the 4th minute of added time after getting fouled a clear two yards outside the penalty box, saturday morning papers wanting the german linesman that flagged for the foul to be struck off

Pessimism. England aren't that good and we usually turn up for the big games!

I can see us at best playing our part in a hearty draw. An early 1-0 lead for Engerland and we frustrate them up to pegging them back with a penalty in the second half.

Absolutely no question he was very good his reactions at times were amazing, it was just the notion that he was in the top 2 in the world which I questioned. His size was a bit of an issue at times re crosses and commanding of his box however shot stopping brilliant.

2-0 England.

England will huff and puff and score from set piece as we can't defend and then score again late on.

We will not have a shot on target. Some will think it was a battling performance.

Bookies have away win at 10-1 so says it all.

My 7 year old son can't wait to watch it but I am managing his expectation more so when it was Hibs in a big game! (Don't do that anymore given we are superstars now)

Griffiths to bag a first half brace. Then he drops the nut on Rooney and a Dele Ali hatrick in the last 10 minutes.

If either team qualifies, God help them when they get to Russia.

Cheers lads/lassies and enjoy the match
