Still feel it's a sales pitch from Petrie - he knows that many will buy the video just to see those tears.

Ah, the First Rule of Hibs.net: if in doubt (or in this case, if also lacking a sense of humour), accuse everyone else of being a Jambo...

If you mean me, the answer is yes. Now let me bang my sister in peace before I head to ER to team up with my new bezzy mates from Paisley to teach them songs about you being gay.

He's gotten a lot of things wrong over the years but there certainly is not doubting that the man absolutely loves this club.

3 seasons in the 2nd division he should be greeting like a baby every week.

I had hoped that the cup win would be cathartic experience for the club and fans.

A chance to let old enmities go and move on supporting the club

Judging by some posts on this and the DVD thread this seems beyond some folk.

I have never seen the point in looking back in anger, it doesn't get better, only worse and is a total waste of energy.

We are where we are and it's how we move forwards that matters.

There was no tears just the emotion of a Hibs fan. RP has got more right than wrong in his time at Hibs. But for some he's the anti-Christ

Totally agree it's a disgrace some of the comments about this man. I had a long conversation with him before the game today and he is totally committed to getting Hibs up where they belong I thanked him for his work in laying the foundation for a future successful football club. No doubt I will be shot down in flames by the usual suspects but I don't give a monkeys

I wouldn't say I'd want to go for a pint with him but he obviously wants hibs to succeed as much as anybody. Iirc most fans backed butchers appointment and for a while it looked a good appointment. Our slide to relegation nobody could have foreseen. As for 3 seasons in the championship we had sevco the first two seasons and of course won the cup where I'm sure the cup runs hindered our promotion bid. Hopefully we will go up this season. I've no doubt his tears were genuine. He has fought our corner with the sfa and while he lacks in the charisma dept he has always had the best interests of the club at heart.

Definitely the most touching moment on the whole
Production. While he's made many mistakes, he's been involved with us for around 20 years so he's bound to have an emotional connection. He may have resided over relegation and other poor results, he's now also been involved in being Scottish cup winners [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

Proper Hibby is Rod. Not all his decisions over the years have worked out but you can see what the cup win meant to him and how much he cares for Hibs.

Can't wait for the next Hibs DvD "time for heroes 2"
Promotion to SPL and retaining the SC 2017 🏆🏆"

Really special part of the DVD. He may have made some poor appointments and someone to look after the books rather than the team on the pitch but he loves Hibs and is an important part of the club behind the scenes.

He'd have a bare faced cheek taking a wage after not having the integrity to leave after his years of mismanagement. He should be long gone.
