Anyone got the piano version of Glory Glory (not sunshine on leith... ) which features in DVD (and in some online videos) in MP3/other digital format?

Thinking it would make a quality ringtone..

The tune on the trailer with the piano is Glory Glory to the Hibees.

Although if SoL features just played on the piano in the full length DVD, that would also be quality.

I never knew until last night that Man United use the same tune but obviously with different lyrics.

As do Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and the South Sydney Rabbitohs (oz Rugby League).

But the Hibs version was the first!

Try Christopher Brent. Battle hymn of the republic. It's on iTunes and Spotify. That was the original tune the hibs song is based on.

It's funny.. I thought it was SOL when first watched the ad. Then just relistened and can clearly here glory glory. Now listening again and wondering if it's a clever mix of the two!

Think BF maybe just means it's definitely not that version?

I've listened to it (as I didn't know that was the original version) but the one in the film is just a piano, nice and simple but something about it is just "wow".

The version I'm talking about is also used in this video https://twitter.com/fourinhandhsc/status/735204620486750208 - seems a good excuse to watch it again... :greengrin

I've been a hibernian supporter going to ER since as long as I can remember and I never knew that it was linked to the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Thank you for enlightening me/us. I genuinely had no idea and I like it!!!

Can you imagine someone playing that on a grand piano on the centre spot tonight? 15,000 Hibees in full voice.

Their was a fat bloke in a wig who played the piano on the pitch a few years ago, made a right mess of the turf.
