Totally gutted for them but the lander was just a bonus, the real science is in the orbiter which went into Mars orbit like clockwork.

European effort. Wonder if we'll be doing a Brexit British space effort now. I imagine it would be something like the movie of First Men on the Moon.

I suspect that we'll continue to be members of ESA in the same vein as other non-EU countries. I hope so anyway because, if we don't, it would damage science in this country (even more than it will be by Brexit anyway).

My old man used to play that to us in the car when we were kids...young kids. Terrifying. And Richard Burton's voice was class.
Part of me is nervous we're sending stuff up there, thanks to that childhood scarring,
