STARTING XI | Marciano, Gray, McGregor, Forster, Hanlon, Fyvie, McGeouch, Shinnie, Boyle, Harris, Keatings.

SUBS | Laidlaw, Stevenson, Eardley, Bartley, Holt, Graham, Cummings.

Interesting choices, let's hope we get a result and a performance today and it doesn't turn into Moan The Hibs thread

If Crane isnt injured there really isn't any reason for it bar Lennon simply not fancying Crane. Would seem an ideal game to give Paul a rest.

I really like this team.

Even if it crashes and burns and it fails miserably at least Lennon can say he's attemped the width and pace approach.

I'm pleased Harris is getting a chance playing in the right position in a strong team. If he doesn't take one of these chances soon we can justify the negative comments he is attracting. If he plays well, he might yet be like a new signing.

Glad to see Forster keep his place as I thought he did well last week. It (almost) justifies the bizarre decision to keep Hanlon at LB. That is a strange move, I'd have thought that if he wasn't going to go with Stevenson this would have been the ideal time to play Crane.

Maybe he doesn't really fancy Stevenson?

Or maybe he likes Forster and this is the way to keep him in the team. Said a lot of positive things about him when he gave him the new contract.

Good to see 2 natural wide players selected. Baffled by Hanlon at left back again though.

We used to have a lot of players who were naturally wide.

I'm thinking of the Mowbray era, where never a weekend went past without some incident in George Street.

I yearn for the return of those days.

With 2 natural wingers I'd have given Graham a start, he wins everything in the air and would cause problems for their defence.

Don't understand not trying someone else at Left Back, Crane could have been given a chance and get Hanlon back to Centre Half

I take it you never saw last weeks game?

It's a crazy statement.

Must admit it was nice to see Hanlon try and get to the byline but for every good cross there was about 5 or 6 horrendous ones
(and there was only about 2 good crosses all game).

I'm still somewhat perplexed, as this more than last week seems like another good opportunity to give Crane a run out again.

Big game for Boyle and Harris. Lots of people crying out for wingers.
It looks like a 4-3-3 but sticking with Hanlon at left back seems very odd. Could it be three at the back with Gray & Harris as the wide geezers and Boyle nipping about up top with Keatings? We'll find out in a few minutes...

The balance isn't right and interesting that Shinnie has signed we have struggled. He shows glimpses but drifts in and out of game.s

The crowds are up massively on last season
The football is worse & more importantly the results are starting to get worse. Lots of debate as to what's wrong everybody with an opinion. For me it's Neil Lennon - just a wrong appointment in my opinion. Whats on the pitch and again for me off of it. He seems detached from it, maybe his style but just eroding into the all in it together feel good factor built up from the cup win. When I go now I expect us to be poor, ponderous and to lose leads.

As for playing Hamlin left back instead of crane last two - especially in the iron but game is just bad management. Pointless. Even if crane was in and turned out poor at least he'd have had a crack.

While I also have my doubts, it's difficult to criticise the appointment - while I have no idea who the other candidates were, I doubt if any of them were, on paper, of the same calibre as Lennon.

Absolutely. Only Shinnie and Marciano getting a game and Shinnie is playing poorly. Not sure what the cash was spent on but I don't think anyone wanted to spend it on players for our bench but that's what we got.

No hiding place now, Hibs and Lennon will be judged on League performances.

This was more of the same, without the scores of missed chances, and with listless poor movement off the ball and terrible shape. I'm questioning if the players want to play for Lennon. The basic effort has been poor over the last four games.

Hibs 11 shots, 1 goal
St Mirren 5 shots, 2 goals

This is happening week after week after week and yet when I (and others) pointed this out yet again a few weeks ago we were told by some on here that it didn't matter as long as we were winning 1-0 every week. Remind me have we been winning 1-0 every week?

Four games against Championship sides, three of them at home: 0 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses, 3 goals for, 5 goals against is wholly unacceptable. At least in most seasons our second half slump begins a bit later than the first quarter.

I believe Lennon was in the paper again today talking about Celtc's new wonder kid. Personally I'm sick of seeing Lennon being interviewed or being quoted about Celtc. It's time he realised he's Hibs manager & tells the tabloids to GTF when asked for a quote. He has a big job on his hands here & so far he's not making a great fist of it. If we had to lose 1 home game then this was it but we've now lost 4 times as many home games in the first 2 or 3 months of the season as we did all last season. Time for NL to apply 100% concentration on all things Hibs!

Agree, Lennon showing why he struggled at Bolton, it's easy managing a team with far superior resources like Celtic but when it comes to the nitty gritty then it's a whole new ball game. Doesn't seem to have a clue how to set the team up after 3-4 months.

Big wake up call for Lennon....

Pressure on him big time now -
