I'd be more impressed if we ever managed to progress players from the development team into the first team squad!

That's the ultimate aim, I agree

Is it on the outdoor pitch this time due to the Scotland U19 game being indoor?

Think it's always the indoor at Oriam for Hibs. Think the Scotland game is at 7.30 tonight

Was thinking that, it's just the link mentions it's outdoor today.

So it does, well spotted, my mistake

There's a 3 day trading camp for one of the age group national squads at Oriam this week. I suspect they will be in the big hall, which is why we're outside.

I should have added "as well" to my post - U/19 at night and the U/16 women during the day.

I thought Martin looked good before his sending off. Only caught the first half though.

Callum Crane stuck out big style, the new David Murphy.

I thought the whole team dug in and played really well 2nd half.

Good result with ten men. Inverness didn't look up to much apart from hitting the crossbar. Relatively comfortable win for Hibs:aok:

Any opinions on Eardley?

He played the second half v Dundee United and i thought he looked well short of match fotness and had a few passes that were in effect to no one
Wouldnt judge him on that one performance buthe needs more game time

Scotland U17's are 2-0 up on Sweden with Oli Shaw scoring the first

Is that an honest opinion? Just wondering if the performance will get him a first team start.

He's a super player. Would love to seem him involved in the team later in the year. Crane, Martin, Shaw will hopefully be first team players next year.

Inverness not much of a threat Today....I liked Crane from what I saw in pre season, hard to gauge on Today

Lets hope he can continue scoring as he progresses We could do with one of our young strikers making it through to the first team

The fitness issue was what I was eluding to - he hasnt played much for a long time. I thought same as you on Sunday, I watched him closely today & whilst as said he didn't do anything wrong I was surprised at just how out of condition he seemed. Long way short of being match fit for the first team I'd say.

Maybe why he wanted to play. Speaks volumes for the player, that he's keen to play development games to gain fitness

I think Crane showed up well in the 2nd half. Drove the team on , making runs down the left then running 60 yard to win the ball back. I think him and Martin need a loan move to get 1st team football IMHO.

Hes very close, I'm sure NL would have thought about him for Utd game.

He is a very fit boy, up and down that park no problem yesterday.

Having watched a few development team games this season - this I felt was some of the best they have played.

Considering they went down to 10 men - silly 2nd yellow from Scott Martin - caught wrong side of a player - they actually dug in and played some really good football 2nd half.

I was really impressed with the back 4 and the young guys at Centre back and Crane look like they are improving all the time.

I was also impressed with Donaldson and Watson for Hibs - excellent work rate and Watson especially was a wide type player we are crying out for - tricky and making things happen.

Inverness weren't up to much but Hibs contained them and could have easily scored a couple themselves 2nd half.
