Does the fact that Eardley isn't listed as trialist mean he's signed?

Why not let the The U20 Rangers players ref the game? Will be good practice for them when they step up to the first team.

Interesting, at a time when our first team is struggling to create and take chances.

I've been saying this on other threads. Keatings is the best crosser and striker of a dead ball in the team. If we really are trying to be more direct and fling crosses in left right and centre he should be starting.

And this is why I would play a 4-3-3 with Keatings playing either wide left or right in the 3.

Agreed. He is the best from a dead ball, and a great instinctive striker. Need to find a way to get him in that team and in positions to score. Playing with only 3 in midfield isn't a big deal when we play our full backs a wingbacks all the time. Fyvie, Dylan, McGinn. Holt CF, Jason and Keats can swap during the game.

Very surprised to hear that this game has seemingly been awarded to Rangers on the grounds that they were leading at time of abandonment. Surely a dangerous precedent to set?

Sure I heard on the radio yesterday a ref blew up for full time 9 minutes early with a team 3-1 up and it looks like their going to have to replay that one from scratch. Suppose anythings possible for the huns.

Nothing in our game surprises me anymore. Our ruling body haven't got a clue....It's totally ridiculous

Dangerous precedent, but would think they wouldn't do it again:confused:

The game was probably lost, can't remember the last time we were a goal down to the huns and still won...😆

How can this be awarded to Rangers, unless there's a rule a that abandoned games at under 20 level don't get replayed. Is there such a rule in place?

Certainly not aware of any rule that would allow this. Perhaps it's more accurate to say that Hibs have agreed to concede the game, rather than some high-handed decision to gift the points to Rangers? The official league table does show that Rangers have been credited with three points for the match.

Hibs website has no stats or score for the game. Spfl site has the result in the league table though.

I remember us being 2-0 up at Darkheid in late 1975 when ref abandoned game with 4 minutes to go because of fog. The game had been held up for more than 4 minutes due to pitch invasions by Celtc fans. We would have gone top of the league with the win. The game was replayed & finished 1-1. The Weegie media said that was a fair result all round! Plus ca change!

I recall that game too. An absolute scandal which was swept under the carpet at the time. A decision which stank to high heaven. Yet people say our game is clean.

Would I be right in thinking that the fog actually totally cleared shortly after the referee abandoned the match?

Yep we were about 5 minutes away from the ground when it lifted.

Remember that as well. Had to make a quick getaway from the 'mind yer car mister' brigade. Driving away with one weegie hanging on to the door.

If only the fog had lasted we could have sneaked off.

I well remember that game - Bobby Davidson, absolute Hun of a ref !!. Thd 'Craig Thomson' of the 70's !!

Think Joe Harper/Tom Hart (??) got fined for sticking 2-fingers up at the Septic-fans who, surprisingly enough, were cheering the decision as their pitch-invasion paid off !

Think it was Blackley and Harper. Incredible can remember the scores programme going over to Parkhead just after 5 and it was as clear as a bell.

And when the refs report was published , guess what, game abandoned because of fog. No mention of any pitch invasion.
