I've stayed up to watch this (will pay for it in the morning :greengrin)
Trump is horrific (he comes across as drunk and it's difficult to make out what point he's trying to make at times) and Clinton is playing it steady, but it's easy to see how he will appeal to a lowest common denominator.
The last segment has been on racial justice and Hillary has basically accused Donald of being a racist and he hasn't really been able to refute it.
Nevertheless, he's been able to fire all sorts of soundbites against Clinton that will chime with many voters. She's not been so aggressive, whereas he's interrupted her on a a regular basis with all sorts of attacks.
Trump is a bit reminiscent of the Family Guy episode where Lois runs for mayor and just says "9-11" at the public events :greengrin

Hillary didn't need to be aggressive, because the 'moderation' was so disgustingly biased. 6-7 of the questions were thinly-veiled attacks on Trump, while Hillary received none of the same treatment. I don't doubt that Trump has expelled some regrettable **** from that mouth of his, but Hillary isn't exactly a saint herself. The one time they hovered over a controversial issue (deleted emails), Hillary said it was a mistake and the moderator didn't press the issue any further.
That said, Trump did not deal with it well and looked flustered at various points throughout the debate. He was not well prepared and it showed.

Bit concerned by Trump sniffing a lot last night during the debate.
The only logical conclusion is that he has some kind of wasting disease in his nose and isn't fit to be President. Not even sure it was Trump, may have been a body double.

I thought Hilary came across as by far the more presidential of the 2, nothing new there and not sure whether that will help her or not. Trump came across as more presidential than he has in the past (well, at some points and there's obviously a long way to go) and maybe that's all he needs to win swing voters. Neither was an obvious winner or said anything you wouldn't expect them to.
They're 2 poor candidates. Hilary is a crony who's only there through a combination of her husband and because the democrats can't muster a better candidate. Last time they did she didn't get the nomination. The republican candidates seem to be getting worse although you do wonder how they can continue the trend after Trump.
If I was American I'd be debating whether to vote Hilary or spoil my vote.

I'd probably be the same, then would realise that such a spoiled vote would be tantamount to a vote for Trump, and would vote Clinton.

Is this really the best they have to offer?

Been keeping half an eye on this. When over in America I got watching some political chat shows and I think one of the more poignant messages I took from this election is that both politicians are running against the only the opposition they could feasibly beat.
I've also a friend over there who tells me her work mates don't like either candidate and subsequently won't vote (whether they change their minds is to be seen). What's the voting turn out over there?

Must admit when Trump was talking up the failed "stop and frisk" methods under the topic of healing racial tensions, I did wonder if I was watching some really bad satire.
I can't get over how Trump talks. Did I actually watch a potential world leader moan about mean things being said about him by the opposition? (Oh the irony)

What is there, 400 million odd people in America and they serve up Trump and Clinton??!?
If it wasn't so serious, it would be funny. That said, she's far, far from perfect but there's just no way such a man-child as Trump can be PoTUS??
SURELY TAE ****??!! :confused::confused:

To be fair, the USA population is only 320 million.

Ahhh ok fair enough. I guess a paucity of alternatives is the root cause of this debacle :greengrin

It turns out Trump wasn't dire, he was actually holding back so as to not embarrass Clinton.

If Donald Trump gets elected as president of the USA, the world's gone to pot.
I can't stand Hillary Clinton but there's no way on God's green Earth that Trump should be elected as a world leader.
