Thinking of ordering it, £50 is very steep for a Harrington but wondered if anyone had one on here and their view.

Are they in the Hibs shop? Got a bottle green online for half the price - failing that try Army Navy store on the Walk.

was in the club shop last week feeling up the material on jackets etc, a tad on the thin side for the winter months ahead, imo

You asked for an opinion? I think the response was expressing increduality at the price. I would recommend onnonline for £20:00 and buy a retro style badge and learn to sew, 50 bucks is pretty steep

Not keen on the colour of it. Now if it came in black with hibs tartan inside I'd spend £50 on it, maybe even more!

Fifty quid is steep for a Harrington? The new line of Baracuta Harringtons are about £300. Mine's the old version, and I think it was about £175.

Hopefully expressing that it must be a pretty shabby garment if it's a mere fifty pounds.

£20 for a jacket online, will be pretty poor quality.

I bought a Harrington in the 80s that cost more than that, so it must be a bit naff.

I m sure I saw Petrie speeding off in his motor in one of these. A guy looking like Jim Traynor in a Sherpa van tried to overtake him and Rod gave him the vickies.

Aye, but a green "Harrington" is hardly going to be on my list of everyday wear really and I'd be surprised if the clubwear was anything but a cheap quality item. Each to their own but I find the idea of oaying £100:00 plus for what would be a matchday only item ( for me) laughable.

Says here it's out of stock online:

http://hibernian.clubstore.co.uk/hb-8462-mens-hannington-jkt

Also refers to it as a 'Hannington' jacket which I assume is a typo?

I don't much like the colour. It would look better in green or black.

Yes, Steve McQueen wore it well though I tend to associate the jacket more with the Specials/skinhead era of music.

I don't know if this "Hannigton" business is one big massive typo or not.

I'll be tempted to contact the club should they start selling Haddington jackets. I'm not sure anyone wants one of those.

From character Rodney Harrington (Ryan O'Neil) wearing one in the film "Peyton Place". It's original name was (and still is) the Baracuta
