What's the chances of us being able to get in the usual pubs in Dumbarton with the Glasgow Derby being on at lunch time??

I intend to get there at 12:15. Hopefully the pub at the railway station will have some Guinness left :greengrin

We were booked into a cracking we bowling club just off the main road. Hibs fans got the big room to themselves. No hassle but did get the impression there were a couple of hun members through the wee lounge. Might be different on OF derby day though.

I had heard that the Police have said to one bowling club that they need to make it for members only this time due to the game

Thats the Rock bowling club next to the stadium. I was in there last season, but contacted them last week and it is indeed members only which is a real shame.
The stags head is near the station but I think thats a bit rough and is likely to he heaving by 12.
Any other suggestions?

Looking for suggestions? We normally go to the rock bowling club or pub at station. Both are now a no-go.

2 seasons ago we went in the Counting House in the town and watched rangers v hearts. It is a belhaven pub. I've messaged them on Facebook to ask if we will be welcome in.

I asked a work colleague who is from Dumbarton and returns at the weekend for his recommendations
There is a bar in the ground itself or the nearest one would be across from Dumbarton East station, the Stags Head. I have been in this once or twice and it is ok. If I remember rightly they do display a sign saying no football colours, but as long as you are not causing any trouble you would be ok if you did have your Hibs top on as myself and my ex brother-in-law (b******), went in once in our K’s hoops. The only other pubs are in the town centre on the High Street, Weatherspoon’s, The Counting House and the Burgh Bar, but I would only recommend the first two as the Burgh Bar is a dump.
K's hoops refers to Kingsonians FC

Looks like the Wetherspoon's is a safe option

I've been in the Spoons in Dumbarton its not bad the usual sort of Spoons, its on the High street and would say a good mile away from Dumbartons ground. The Counting House is a bit nearer (still on the High Street) and is decent, having said that what its like on an Ugly Sisters outing I couldn't tell you.

Ok so I've just spoke to the counting house and they are not letting anyone in wearing colours but are showing the football.

Can you get into the bar in the stadium pre match, or is it just for corporate guests?

According to the stadium the bar in the stadium is home fans only.
I'm gonna go to the counting house without my scarf etc.
