Based on the order of the lineup, the second trialist appears to be a left midfielder/winger. Interesting.

Patrick Martin who recently joined from St Johnstone also starting in goals.

Who and where from?

I first seen him play from Newcraighall Leith Vics at, I think, Under 13 level.

South East Region cup final at Dunbar.

He scored four goals. He was miles above anyone else on the pitch.

Delighted Hibs have brought him in, he's been with our set up for a wee while now and is obviously making huge progress as he is still extremely young for development level.

Kids can develop/stagnate at different stages but if he can keep improving then we'll have a player on our hands.

Cheers for that, with his surname I thought he was from further afield.

The new right back Filip Modelski didn't do too much to impress - hard to fully tell how good he is after 1 game - plus put him alongside better players and could be a different player.

Hibs centre backs did well - Porteous and Waugh.

Paton took both his goals well - 1st was a quick turn and shot after the Motherwell keeper spilled it.

Innes Murray also played - like the right back - did ok but didn't shine.

Fraser Murray did well again and thought Calum Crane strolled it.

Seemed Hibs changed personal around several times in 1st half - looked like a 4-4-2 / 4-5-1 at times.

2nd half Hibs pressed higher and played further up.

The conceded goal was sloppy - from a corner and keeper came and didn't claim it.

Yrik Gallantes - got last few minutes - looked rapid - but didn't have much ball to do anything - small but interested to see him play again.

Overall 1st half was pretty even - Hibs scored early from kick off 2nd half and 3rd was a well taken shot from Watson. Defended pretty solidly 2nd half.

He is a brilliant wee player. Turned down advances from teams down south as well and the Old Firm to stay with Hibs.

That is the difference in being a deadline day signing from Celtc I imagine.
