Hibs made bids for Simon Murray but rejected by Utd.

Where did you hear that? I highly rate him actually, as said before though we should be fine in that position though. Like I said last night I think we will bring in a free transfer at RB.

I didn't say I knew, I said it was likely.

Ok, fair enough. I do think you're missing a big point though. Even if we only incrementally upped our wage bill by £6k a week (I think it'll be more given aforementioned deals vs who's gone) then that's £312k for the year.

I have a couple of Arab mates who don't rate him in the slightest - I doubt we bid for him tbh

Fair enough! They will know better than me, just been impressed when I have seen him play. Anyway wouldn't have thought Lennon would think D.Utd would sell to us anyway.

Free agent so doesn't need to sign before the deadline.

Hibs have signed decent quality players this window. Would be nice to hear Lennons take on things, but he's been backed.

4 new signings all pushing for a starting place, plus other signings to bolster the squad. Plus big new contracts for existing players of course.

A few targets did seem to get away, but no point spending money on poor players - we've been down that road before.

If there are injuries then the guys from the development team on the fringes of the match day squad simply have to take their opportunities this season. It's about time we had another player like JC who simply demands a place in the team.
