According to the website FitbaStats the last time we won our opening 5 league games came in the 1946/47 season, here's hoping we can match them at Dumbarton in a couple of weeks

When was the last time we won our first four?

I know it was 1974 when we last won our first three?

We won our first 4 league games in 1974 before a 1-0 loss to Aberdeen

Dumbarton fans will be ****tin themselves. in a lot of the games, they have parked the bus and done us with breakaways, they have 2 huge centre bscks, who mopped up, but with us having big players up front now we will beat thrm well

Let's not get too carried away Dumbarton are gonna be right up for this and will try and frustrate us. Fortunately Nelly has added a new dimension to our squad which should see us break them down.

Another game we will walk. Not concerned whatsoever about them.

fancy us to win next week and also at home to Ayr.
IF we do, not sure anyone will catch us. A gap with the most serious contenders, will be growing.

Agree totally and the good thing is if we have a decent lead over United and Falkirk etc then when we play them they will need to attack us a bit more which will suit us just fine IMO.

We really shouldn't be worried about a trip to Dumbarton.

They lost 66 goals last season!

We are already well on our way to at least 40 points, which should ensure Championship survival :aok: :flag:

I reckon having a player like Holt in there will give us the edge. His physical presence should help to break down a tough defence.

And to think some people had already written him off............Even if he doesn't score his efforts make it easier for the others...excellent signing.

Thought he looked sharper on Saturday and played well and good that he got a goal. Maybe the presence of Graham has inspired him to kick on which is a good thing.

It was st johnstone who beat us in game 5, Jimmy O'Rourke scored after 3 mins on his return to ER. We beat the dons 3-2 in game one.

Agreed. His presence will win important knock downs and frustrate their defence. Something we've been missing against them. When you're playing against a side intent on parking the bus, you need that physical presence in there. Cummings, Graham and Shinnie will mop up.
