I thought I noticed his fingers bandaged up when he went off :dunno:

How nice of Hanlon and Gray to help him out though :greengrin

If Marvin asked me to tie his laces I would too.

He dislocated his finger in training which is why he can't do it himself though.

He just posted on Twitter that his finger was dislocated by Jordon Forster accidentally in training so couldn't do his own laces!

Jordan's a brave man

Marvin was subbed under the new FIFA rule that you can only re-tie your laces 3 times in one match

Was surprised to see him in the starting line up, but loose laces or not I thought he was terrific until he went off, his best game of the season so far :aok:

Spot on.

Let the other 3 play and never put a foot wrong. Big player for us.

:agree: He was very good today. Morton rarely got through our midfield.

If David Gray hadn't being playing today, big marv would have got man of the match.

I thought it was a joke among the players or something.

Good to see Marv put in a good shift. He really impressed me in the quarters and semis of the Scottish Cup run. I felt his performances had dropped a little after that but today he was well worth his place in the team.

Genuinely thought that was true for a second. Wouldn't surprise me if that sort of thing came out from FIFA...

What have I missed that Marv shouldn't be one of the first names on the team sheet? :dunno:

What have I missed that Marv shouldn't be one of the first names on the team sheet? :dunno:He is extremely limited going forward so he isn't always the best choice against some teams. He looks much better when Fyvie/McGeouch are next to him because he rarely has to pass more than 5 yards. Great enforcer, though, and was very solid against Morton.

That's me telt! :greengrin Agree about not being attacking, but I think that's what makes him so effective when we've got a fully-fit midfield. He just breaks it up and feeds it out. Dare I say he's playing the Matty Jack role (if MJ was as cultured as MB is, that is!)?

Matty Jack played the Marvin Bartley role.

Agreed. He is only required against the better teams that would try to bully us in midfield. In yesterday's game the shape of the midfield was awful in the first half. Mainly due to people covering for his lack of pace. Something that Lennon was constantly at them for.

He'll need to get Velcro boots til he can learn to tie them himself 😂

I did wonder at the game why he had other players tieing his boots.
