I'm doing the Glasgow-Edinburgh cycle ride on 11th September. To make sure that i don't wimp out at the first breath of wind, I'm doing it on behalf of the wonderful SCOT-PEP. http://www.scot-pep.org.uk/

If you can, please fire some money over to them at my page.

You might even grab yourself a free gift :)

If you can't, please let me have your blessings or, even better, some performance-enhancing drugs.

Just giving this a gentle nudge.

People have been so generous, that I've had to move the goalposts a bit.

The padded shorts are bought, and I'm now considering which bum cream to get..............

It's the one time you can't get annoyed when folk tell you to get on your bike

Bumping this for (maybe) the last time.

The response thus far has been superb, and I am humbled.

It can be superb-er, though, and you can get yourself a free mug into the bargain.

Good luck with it G. Any idea what time you'll be passing through Kirkliston? I'll be out watching for a bit.

Thanks for that.

I'm hoping to get there about 12, although that's weather and traffic dependent.

You'll recognise me...
I will hopefully be stopped at the side of the leisure centre, munching on the egg roll that I'm trying to persuade my niece to bring me. If not, I'll be the one shouting at kids to get out of my ****ing way. If it's OK for Froome, it's OK for me. :)

And it's done.

Thanks to all those who gave their moral and financial support. Now going to chase up cynical buggers who didn't expect me to do it, so kept their hands in their pockets :)
