I think 'weird' is spelled 'weird' (:wink:) and that there are lots of more likely explanations for violent occurrences in a house in Glasgow than the presence of a poltergeist.
Like the presence of Glaswegians?

Ironically 'weird' defies the "i before e" law which is in itself weird.

Society will often seize on weird rules in this vein and represent it as science.
