So, who's going to win it this year. Anyone think another Leicester could do it. Or one of the nearly men, such as Spurs. Or is it one of the established winners.

PS: this thread is for those interested in the EPL. If not interested, don't post to tell us your not interested, please. No likely, no posty!!

Manchester will be 1 and 2, not sure who'll win it between them though.

I've gone Spurs as they have some good players and play as a team. My dark horse is Liverpool.

I have absolutely no idea, it could be any one of about 5-6 teams?

It looks the most wide open i can remember.

It's as wide open as I can remember.

Chelsea will be thereabouts, Leicesters front 3 will cause teams problems, Liverpool will be better, Spurs will still be close by and both Manchester clubs will be much inproved. The only team I would really write off, of the usual suspects, is Arsenal.

Very very difficult league to predict this season. You have about 6 or 7 clubs who are looking at finishing in the top 4 as a absolute minimum.

It will be close but if I had to pick one it would be Man City as Guardiola is the best coach in the world IMO.

Leicester won't finish in the top 4.

If Arsenal spend a bit of cash on a world class striker and a solid defender then think they may surprise. But they need to spend big, so unlikely.

If they bought a world class striker last season reckon they would have won the league.

Have a feeling Chelsea might win - otherwise another London club. I think the Manchester clubs will be surprisingly inconsistent.

Dunno.

Tough one to call this year.

I wouldn't rule out Liverpool - not because I think they're that great but I think that there's something a bit special about that chap Klopp.

Sooner or later I reckon he'll do something special for them.

As previously been said , it's the most open that I can ever remember. Leicster, Man U , Man City , Spurs , Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool . Throw in any other team might do a Leicster and it's the most exiting that I can remember.
Might have a look and see if any teams 5000-1 :)

Agree about liverpool. Also them and particuarly chelsea dont have champs league which i think is a big advantage.

Probably Citeh, will be happy if the Pool can manage top four with a hope they might actually surprise and do even better.

Best team and best manager. Doesn't mean, necessarily, that they'll win it but a great chance.

Bookie on talksport saying due to the Leicester result youll not get 5000/1 again. Best price is Hull at 1000/1

For inclusiveness you should really have added a do't know/don't care option.

The absurd money on offer should, in theory, make it better and more competitive - hopefully it will. Leicester winning it last year was amazing.

What's interesting about the EPL is that the top 5-6 teams will always look to make major signings every season, regardless of how well they have done - these days it is as much of a commercial exercise as a football one (possibly more so). As such, lots of extremely talented footballers will become surplus to requirements, but are highly likely to remain in the EPL due to the vast amounts of money on offer.

That means the quality of players available to teams such as West Ham, Stoke City (who have already signed several players in the last couple of seasons that they're fans would never have dreamed of), Southampton, Everton etc is exeptionally high. If any one of them can get the balance right, then another Leicester-like surprise could well be on the cards at some point.

Guardiola should work his magic and win it, Man United have recruited well and will most likely be the closest challenger. Klopp has shown his ability to work wonders so may also have Liverpool in contention. Tottenham will continue to improve on last season, Chelsea could be back to their normal level under Conte and how can you write off Leicester after last season? Should be a very entertaining league this season. Can't see Arsenal getting in the top four.

There's already a "don't care" thread. We're doing a good job keeping them separate.

As for "don't know" that's just boring. Go on, who do you think is going to win it.

I have it between City and Chelsea. Think United will have improved a lot on last year, but probably not enough.

Hopefully none of them though! :greengrin

I've nae idea who will win it, I've been hugely impressed with Spurs in pre-season and wouldnae be surprised if they got off to a flier but, doubt they've enough to win the title.

I put Chelsea to win and made myself some decent cash.. don't support them, just felt that don't underestimate the big chief Russian- he was too quiet last summer for my liking!!!
Won money too on political wins(oops) so I've done brilliant lately😃
