Is it REALLY difficult getting a ticket for this away game?

Has gone to public sale every time we have played them the last couple of seasons...

This solitary grandstand is the sum total of their stadium. Tickets will be very hard to come by and demand will way outstrip supply this season.

This could be one the rare times that we are on TV this year. BBC Alba may show it as it's guaranteed to sell-out.

I've never done it but I'm told there is a view to be had from the Castle overlooking the Stadium.

Pretty sure it sold out at the start of last season, and the way the crowds have been going recently I imagine this fixture will sell out too. Only around 800-900 tickets available I think. Hospitality is an option you could look into if struggling.

This is why loyalty points should have been kept for games like this.

Correct, I know it's a never ending discussion on here but I don't understand why they couldn't have kept the loyalty points on top of the away season ticket.

Surely they can't expect over 10,000 season ticket holders going for 700/800 tickets for Dumbarton when they go on sale.

Both games went to public sale last season. It may well sell out but there will still be a decent chance of getting a ticket.

Not for me. I'll sit back and watch the cash be debited from my account a couple of days before they go on sale to the ordinary people. Benefits of the away season ticket. Smug mode enabled :smug:

It's not Boghead. The other ends are bare. It's an awful stadium, my heart sunk entering it last year as it really brought in to sharp focus what a crap league we are in. Only two more visits there to go though.

Nothing but a tall metal fence That you can't see through around the other 3 sides with the remains of a harbour at one goal end, houses down the long side of the pitch and a car park behind the other goal end.

They are planning to relocate to a 6000 capacity purpose built stadium at some point in the future. 2 x 2000 capacity seated stands at either side of the pitch with 2 x 1000 capacity covered terraces behind each goal.

Deduct however many away season tickets have been sold and it'll probably be closer to 500 between 10k season ticket holders!

Surely Dumbarton could have applied for a temporary application for one of those Punch and Judy novelty stands like Falkirk used to have? Might have cost the same as tickets sold but catering and a bit of corporate would have shown a profit?

Bit late now for them, should have done it when Hibs Hearts and The Rangers were in the league

There were a few folk who, only last week, said everyone would get a ticket so it should be fine.

Less than 750 wanted to go last season so unlikely there will be 10k keen to go this season. For the games last season, one was first game of the season and for the other, tickets went on sale just after we knocked Hearts out the cup which means demand would have been high for both fixtures.

But it's also the 1st game after an international break, which means a few more than normal may want to go

I wasn't suggesting that 10k will want to go to the game. Just that that's the number that will be eligible for a ticket should they want it.

I think that it's quite evident that there is going to be a greater demand for tickets this year. The 500-600 that will be available for this game will go in no time. The Falkirk tickets went in a matter of hours, quicker than they went even for the playoffs last year. The cup win has hooked a few folk again. Just even in our group of four, two missed more away games last season than for a number of years yet have signed up to the away season ticket this year.

If there are disappointed fans missing out on tickets for several fixtures, home or away, then things are going well. It's a situation that seemed unlikely over the past few seasons. I'm loving that demand is likely to be high this time round.

All we can do is try. I'll be there online the second they go on sale and hope luck is on my side 😂

Just had a look at Dumbarton website.
£60 gets you 3 course meal, half time buffet, ticket to match. Sounds like good value for money.
