It's always been Tuesday as far as I'm aware from hibs announcement of pre season games. The interview with kevin Thomson in the evening news said Saturday, I think they got it mixed up with tranents other game

Is there any covered standing at Tranent's ground? The weather forecast isn't great for tomorrow evening.

Where's the best place to park?

Just on the main road opposite the Asda which is opposite the entrance to the ground.

Good save from Virtanen to a close in shot. Hibs free kick then sails over.

Excellent cross field pass from no9 (Shaw?), good ball into box and tranent defender stoops to head in. 1-0 Hibs.

Really good football from Hibs, ends with a cracking through ball and striker brought down for a pen. No7 scores, 2-0.

Crunching tackle and Hibs no8 takes a hit on right ankle. Subbed.

Nice effort by Allan just misses the top corner, then another great ball in from the right and Shaw puts it over from 4 yards.

Free kick, good save from tranent keeper.

3-0. The lad wearing 2 really has put in some great crosses and another has the keeper tipping it down where 11 volleys it home from about 12 yards.

Number 2 was Donaldson....he had a great game. Great engine.

Didn't see much of the ball in the 2nd half until late on, but his delivery into the box was excellent.

He wasn't quoted in the squad. Only 1 unused sub but it wasn't him.

It was a decent game to watch, with the young Hibs always in control. No 11 was impressive, No7 had a decent game and Shaw looks a promising player but his final tonight and finishing were pretty poor tonight. Forster played at RB and got an hour. The 2 CB's were largely untroubled and both full backs got forward at every chance.

BTW, what happened to the laddie Jack Breen? I always thought he looked a good player but has he been released?

I was there tonight and really enjoyed it. There was lots of good football played and I was really impressed at the standard, particularly Mackie (before his injury) and Crane (who looked a bit too good for this level). The two CBs stood up well to the challenge and looked handy with the ball at their feet. I also liked the look of the number 15 who came on - not sure who he is?

It was also interesting to see our reserves still wearing last season's kit. It looks like it's not just the fans waiting on the new kits!

Thomson was there doing some warm-ups but never came on. Boyle and Carmichael were in attendance and went over to catch up with their old comrade.

Aaron Dunsmore was number 7. Started at centre mid then moved to central defence when Forster went off. He was excellent all night.
