just heard Forth One report he has been found guilty of drink driving. He has 2 previous convictions for this offence.
First of all, what a ****er. No need for this utter selfish act.
Second, Forth One ending the report stating he played with Hibsi in the late 90's. Any need to link him to us in that particular report? Comes across as a pathetic wee dig.

I am wondering if he goes to jail for a third DUI conviction in the UK?

To be fair, it's an edinburgh radio station and unfortunately he did play for us.

I'd say yes. Forth One is a radio station for this area. Therefore, if they're running the story at all, it's BECAUSE he played for Hibs. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a point in running it all.

It'll depend on the concentration of alcohol in your blood and the date from his last conviction. If he's two or three times over the limit of 35mg then he could well go down. Likewise if he was involved in a collision of sorts.

He's screwed if he was driving while still under a previous ban.

Edit - According to this he was nearly 3 times over the limit. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/14640189.Former_Rangers_star_Ray_Wilkins_has_plead ed_guilty_to_drink_driving_after_he_was_seen_swigg ing_from_the_bottle_at_the_wheel/?

Hate to say it, but think he holds the record for being our most capped player

Ray is guilty.

Life sentence would be appropriate.

Very foolish. I'd guess he has a drink problem. Too much money and nothing meaningful going on in his career.

He is an undeniably charming chap but his time with us was his "wilderness years".

In fact, a Wilderness spokesman said that they were their "Wilkins years".

Thankfully not the case. Jim Leighton has 91 caps, some of which were actually won with us.

And if released, one of these. (http://www.draeger.com/sites/en_uk/Pages/Alcohol-and-Drug-Detection/Interlock.aspx)

He's been on a rehab course at the Priory recently, so at least he's recognised that he's got a problem.

Or has realised he needs to show he's doing something to minimise his sentence.

On each occasion he was caught, it was because the Police noticed his vehicle moving sideways.

10 week suspended sentence, 140 hours community service and 4 year ban. I think he got of very lightly.

Jonatan Johansson surely has 100 odd caps for Finland 😁

he obviously has no regard whatsoever for human life, maybe the next time he does it he might just kill someone

he was very close to being the worst player that ever played for us. Was he Miller's last signing? Can't honestly remember.

Was that between his arrest for this offence and the court case?

If so, I'm not impressed.

Touche :agree: don't mind drink drivers wrapping themselves around a tree, just don't take anyone with them

Does Latapy not have about 200 caps?

And Wilkins needs to lay off the bevvy. Stick to Tango.

Wilkins is beyond control. Needs jailed simply because of his complete disregard for others. Even without the drinking he is an erse.

I wonder if working with Alan Brazil before he got admitted to the Priory was significant given that Brazil is a mental bevy merchant

I agree with you, if this had been a positive story he would be the ex Rangers player!
He was a twat, and obviously still is!
