He's a tactical genius, that's what Potter told him to say.

Neilson is still wondering what happened to the maltesers Potter was talking about during the training session. He's been looking forward to them all day.

Yet another great European night under the lights at a packed Tynecastle.
As Neilson says, that's why players are wanting to come to Hearts.

Intimidating atmosphere. Crowd right on top of you at Tynecastle. No wonder the players can't perform. Too early in the season too. The Malteasers have Brazilians playing for them.

I know two who have. One is a decent sort who I feel for, the other is that delightful mix of arrogance and crass stupidity that makes this loss play particularly well for me. Both have punitive cancellation terms on their flights.

If I were inclined to gloat, I would. But as I'm not I shall just laugh.

I said in a post a couple of weeks ago that there is growing discontent at Hearts. The natives hate Neilsons ( read Levein's) tactics but other than the lunatic fringe have been swallowing it due to the steady and unspectacular progress. That's starting to change IMO, there is a growing mood of dis-satisfaction with both Queen Ann and their management team.

The attendance figures will need some massaging if they don't start the season well in the league.

None of this is funny ..... Hibs had the toughest draw of any Scottish club and made a real fist of it. It was up to the likes of the 3rd team in the league to keep our European momentum going, specially against a team who shouldn't be in their league ........ Hearts have let everybody down badly tonight.

This quote from Pete Seeger is the most succinct description of where they are just now. 4536 posts and he has to be a Hibby.

"We've been papped out of Europe from a side from Malta the season after helping hibs win the cup due to our lack of urgency, passion and spirit.

Any other manager would have been hounded by now. Worst European result I can remember. Dismal, really really dismal."

Both teams out but hibs leave Europe with their heads held high. Won the game on the night but narrowly missed out by a 1 missed penalty. Nothing to be ashamed of and I am very proud of the team. Hearts on the other hand . . . .

Potter has been on a crusade to produce total anti football from his Scotland days, he is virtually there but unbelievably he persists with the long hoofball in an attempt to reach another yam player. The end game for his vision has to be just launching it direct at the goals from wherever they have the ball.

No point in including Neilson in the discussion as he is the tailors dummy in the set up.

"These games are really hard," said Neilson as Hearts travel to Malta to meet Birkirkara in the Europa League.

"We are going to a different environment with a different pitch and the heat will play a big role."

But it was at home that they got turned over. Well done Robbie.

Going to get nasty with the watermelon ****gers from here on in. Any other set of supporters would have been happy with romping the championship then finishing a decent 3rd in the SPL, and qualifying for Europe.

These bums, however, are being crushed by the weight of their own unrealistic expectations. A stagnant season and no impact in the domestic cups will call into question the Queen of Hearts business model.

Remember, these turkeys are paying through the nose for this mediocrity.

They won't be paying up forever. I fully expect a downward spiral, They only really got into Europe on an early momentum of dubious penalties, naive refereeing and a false belief in themselves that somehow overawed the other ne'erdowell teams in the Premiership.
