Just read that former Chelsea and Leicester GK Mark Schwarzer is a free agent still.... He is approaching 44 years old but surely with our current GK situation he may be worth a punt/enquiry.... if his wages are not too high?

Thoughts?

Seriously? Yesterday I read on .net that it was nonsense that Alan Combe played for the development team. We need young players we can hopefully sell on.

We need someone who can keep the ball out of our net, whether they're 18 or 44.

We obviously need to have some players for sell-on value but we need some who will simply do a job whilst they're here.

Not sure if Schwarzer would be interested or how good he is these days but was a fine keeper in the not-too-distant past.

Mark Schwarzer would score for fun in this league.

Tell me I'm wrong.

I have tried to coax Mark to Hibs for a number of years now.....he knows all about the famous Edinburgh Hibees!

He would be a superb signing and there is much any young goalkeepers could learn from him, but we won't be seeing him in a Hibs strip despite my best efforts!

Even at 44 Mark Schwarzer is way out of our league. I'd be surprised to say the least if he ever signed.

No chance of him signing Keyser....but as I say he has been well versed in all things Hibernian over the years..as well as having played at ER in a preseason friendly for Boro.

If you don't ask you don't get K.S. and if he refuses, we are no worse off than before asking.
There must be a good few quid in the transfer kitty as we have spent nowt of the 10,000 S.T. money so far.
