Thats quite early, it's an 8pm ko

Is there anything being arranged to get us all to the ground on foot?

Can you get a bevy at the ground?

Don't know the drinking laws over there but I guess we could take a carry out. We'd be there a good hour and a half before kick off.

15 minute train and then a 35 minute walk from the station to the stadium so likely to be at the ground for 6.25pm. I believe someone mention on another thread it is more common in Scandinavia to go to the stadium earlier.

Stadium is 12.5km from the Dubliner bar so not walkable.

Don't know whether we will be forced to get this train or not,

In terms of walking to the ground, you will be walking from Glostrup Station around 20-25 min walk

Booze is allowed in public in Denmark so carry out will be the order of the day, not allowed to be consumed on public transport however

Walk will be good, whether on Thursday is 21 degrees at 8.00pm KO time

Google suggests there is trains running to the same station every 10 mins. So the option is there if you don't want to take the Hibs special.

The Hibs train is running to Brøndbyøster St not Glostrup.

Would be a good laugh on the Hibs special.

Any boozers near the ground?

I looked at google maps. The ground is right beside motorway. Not much else there.

I'd imagine so, we'll probably get an escort back to the station.

A quick look on googlemaps suggests no boozers around. Looks like what we would have had if we'd moved to Straiton - big purpose built stadium beside a motorway surrounded by warehouses and newbuild estates.

Yup, but as this train is a Hibs special it will probably only have one stop and a police escort waiting for our arrival.

Bars

If you’re at Brøndbyoster Station and feeling ready for a pitstop, head right when leaving the platform. Below the high rises, between some shops, you’ll find the MacDonald Pub (Nygaards Plads 2G). It’s decorated all over with kilt-wearing Scots, but otherwise smoky suburban pubs don’t come any more Danish than this.

There is a sports bar at the stadium, opens a couple of hours before kick off.
And I assume we can get a drink inside the ground as well.

I think stadium alcohol sales are banned by UEFA for European competitions.

It seems there is a train to Brondbyoster every 10 minutes from Central station and takes 13 minutes. Arriving on the Hibs special and heading for a boozer with 500 odd travel weary Hibs fans could be problematic. Imagine the queue for the toilet.

Was definitely the case when I was at a Europa qualifier at Anfield in 2012 but I missed Malmo so they have possibly changed it. Good news if true as it will be 20+ degrees.

Only non alcoholic beer I would think. Same as Malmo a few years ago.

Aye think you can sell alcohol free stuff at 1-2% and thats it.

Gotta laugh at Uefa "we believe here at Uefa that alcohol and sport don't mix". Yet they must take millions, if not hundreds of millions from Bud, Heineken and Amstel.

Sack that the stadiums in the middle of nowhere. Surely be other trains, only takes twenty mins apparently so leaving about half six would be ideal

I didn't think it was, but that might have something to do with the several other beers consumed in lila torg all day

From Southampton's website prior to their match against Vitesse last year.

"CATERING AND BARS

Due to UEFA Europa League rules and regulations, there will be no alcohol sold on the concourse before, during or after this fixture. A selection of hot and cold beverages and snacks will be available to buy with cash, card and contactless payments."

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150730-matchday-guide-southampton-vitesse-uefa-europa-league-2581336.aspx

From West Ham's travel advice for their away match v Birkirkara last year

"However, UEFA regulations stipulate that alcohol will NOT be on sale inside the stadium."

Don't go there! It's the pub for the fighting Brøndby fans, and though I think you'll all be fine during your stay in copenhagen, a visit to that place would no doubt be taken as a provocation by our more simple minded fans.

No one cares if you drink in the train (actually didn't even know it wasn't allowed) , and I would guess you're allowed to drink outside the stadium before entering.

I asked a Danish friend the best way to get from the airport to the stadium and this was his reply. Bearing in mind that in his reply the route described is via the main station in Copenhagen then those in the town prior to the game might want to make use of it too.

Off course my friend. Take the train from the airport to København H (mainstation) Change to S-tog line B to Glostrup station. Find bus 500S and the time in the bus to the stadium is around 5-8 minuttes. Total travel time around 0:40. Are you part of a scottish invasion :-)
