We'll get West Ham, we'll all be buzzing...then we'll lose to Brondby. That's my negative spin on things [emoji23]

Thought Brondby may have been good enough to be seeded and we'd take their place as the seeded team... either way, I'd be delighted to progress far enough to face any of those teams!

Some tasty ties on offer but I'll have to admit that I'm not that bothered. The game in Copenhagen is all about getting a good pre-season under our belts so we can get off to a flying start in the league.

We let other tournaments distract us last year and while it was worth it in the long run, it was not helpful in our effort to get promoted so it's time to truly prioritise the league.

We can think about conquering Europe when we're back up in the top flight and have a base on which to build.

Not sure that's right? Sure I read that if we beat Brondby then we take over their seeded status, it's the round after that we could draw one of the big teams?

Hibby70
15-07-2016, 06:25 AM
With the draw being before the final result it would have to be based on the Brondby seeding.

Hibby70
15-07-2016, 06:28 AM
1: Genk (BEL) 36.000 or Budućnost Podgorica (MNE)
2: Rapid Wien (AUT) 23.520
3: Hertha Berlin (GER) 16.035
4: Rijeka (CRO) 14.275
5: Arouca (POR) 10.616
6: Mladá Boleslav (CZE) 10.085

We would be unseeded and this is the group

It's such a good draw I'm hoping Brondby might take their eye off the ball.

On the evidence of last night we're a better team than them so if they've already got an eye on the next round then we've got a great chance.

It's a pity we haven't assembled our full squad yet and had more matches behind us as Brondby were no great shakes
But cant see us winning by 2. 0 out there as would expect them to play better at hone

Hibs are away (hopefully) for first leg Hearts at home.
Potential money spinner as German TV will pay big bucks to show the second leg

What a fantastic tie that would be if we could get through.

Losing the home leg obviously puts the Danes in the driving seat but they were nothing special, I think one or two on this site had bigged them up to be something they arent prior to the game. We are more than capable of scoring the first goal or an early goal in Copenhagen. What then? Puts a completely different complexion on the game. This tie is far from over.

I'm dreaming of Berlin.
