Delighted with this.

Not the finished article yet but he's only 20, improving all the time and has already fitted a lot into his short career (including a lot of goals, many of them important ones).

I think we'll see even more from him this year as he's likely to finally have a "Brewster like" figure up there with him which can only help (as it did GOC).

He's also a big character off the park and I reckon he's often the glue that holds the squad together.

Looking forward to everyone getting fully behind him - he has committed to us when he easily might not have.

4 year = plenty time for lots more goals against the yams.
Good lad and well done Hibs.

Goalscorers are like gold dust.

Nearly 50 goals in 100 games is an impressive record.

This season we will see a great partnership between him and Holt - already looks promising.

Glad he's staying for longer and hopefully then get a well deserved move down south and Hibs get a transfer fee.

And wasn't it 18 games in or so before he got his first goal? So call it 48 goals in 91 games?

Sounds about right and makes his strike rate all the more impressive :agree:

Good bit of business and either gets us 4 years of goals or a couple of years of goals and a wad of cash.

Fantastic bit of business by the club. Well done Jason as well for realising he can still learn, develop and most importantly enjoy his football at Hibs. ANother 20 plus goal season awaits.

Cummings displaying a bit of class and a big dose of maturity here.

If he progresses as he should, at 23 he will go, as almost the finished article, for a fat fee to a club who will have him as first pick, rather than raw recruit who will sit on a bench and not get the game time he needs to develop.

And if Hibs progress as a club they way we hope they will, he might even extend that contract.

Get the feeling that this kid is about to join the Riordan/Griffiths club, which is good going for somebody raised a Yam.

Best bit of business we've done so far this summer. Delighted with this. I have no doubt whatsoever if we play Hearts in a cup this season Jason will score again.

Mind when they told us we would stay down, lose the Scottish Cup final, lose McGinn and Cummings, and be playing in front of 5000... Tick Tock they said...

Hibs don't have ambition?? Hanlon - etension. Cummings - extension. Paying for a quality player like Mcginn and getting McGeouch on a 4 year deal.

What a transformation in this club since we got relegated. Some may disagree but personally I feel that's the best thing that could ever have happened to us. A revamp of the whole system. Clear out from top to bottom.

What a time to be a hibee. Let's push the whole club on. That happens by bums on seats. The club is reconnected to its fan base once again

McGeouch signed a 2 year deal last summer not 4 years. As things stand he can sign a pre contract with another club comes January.

3 years last summer

It says so much about the type of person Jason is. To give us another four years says a lot. He could have easily left for down south, but he was loyal and we all probably know he won't stay for four years but to get a high fee for him and he knows it says a lot about him. In my eyes he has repaid the debt to us when we signed him as a youth/Gardner. Best of luck to him.
