Thats a real shame, loved his show.

Apparently collymore has resigned too.
Collymore had his contract renewal withdrawn, according to him.

His show was the best on the station. Can't stand the breakfast show or drive both main presenters egos are bloated and generally talk crap.

Murray was great when he was on five live and did build a funny show whenever I fleetingly tuned into English premier league sport' so he'll be back somewhere.
No idea who will employ shouty collymore though..

Good for Murray, as for Collymore he was pushed out as contract wasn't renewed.

Not a fan of Murray but I take my hat of to the guy, someone who stands by his principals not many about in the media these days

Good show but I just couldn't get round his thick Scouse accent.

It's a whoosh moment. He's got a pretty nippy NIrish accent.
I suspect Pete is paraphrasing an excellent skit by Kevin Bridges.

I like most of his show, some of it is a little childish but in the main i find it enjoyable when i listen in.
Well done for standing by his principles, i bet Mickey scouser Quinn won't walk. He's one i wish would quit, can't stand his show with that Georgie whats her name the woman who laughs like a horse.

Woke up this morning and turned the radio on, there was Mickey Quinn doing what he always does, shouting over anyone who had an opinion different from his.
There's a reason why he's mainly on at the weekends, nobody wants to listen to him when the station has the bulk of its listeners.
He was one of the most vociferous people when talking about the sun and Hillsborough, he will be quiet as a mouse now though, mark my words.
I turned the radio off.

Quite often listen to Talksport .... mainly in the kitchen and mainly coz there isn't another sport station to listen to. I didn't mind Liverpool supporting Ulsterman Colin Murray ( does he have an Irish team ) and I actually liked Stan Collymore.
But at the end of the day Talksport is all about the English premier league and the odd mention of La Liga and the Bundesliga when it comes to football ............ they never mention Scottish football and I don't care that they had the Proclaimers on and they said nice things about Hibs, their license to broadcast is a UK wide one I presume and their utter lack of any regard for Scottish sport in general, never mind football should beg the question, why are they even allowed a UK license.
I am not joking when I say I have heard more mention of surfboarding and cheese rolling on that station than I have of Scottish football .... As I say, I listen to it coz its there, but if I was asked by one of their advertisers if I listened to it I would never admit it.

Its not that they talk about English football .. in fact all they really talk about is the English premier league, they rarely mention the English leagues below that either. I suppose their dedicated listeners who consciously tune in to the station are just the usual EPL fanboys.

So am I .... of watching it on the telly and the odd trip to Goodison park when I'm in Liverpool visiting relatives. What pisses me off is that a station which proclaims itself to be the 'worlds' never mind the UK's biggest and best sports radio station pays little or no attention to Scottish football .. they have a regular report from South America and regular reports on continental football.
I do not think its unreasonable for a station which broadcasts sports content and mainly football 24/7 to pay some attention to the professional league of one of the countries they broadcast to ..... though as I said to be fair they pay little or no attention to English football below EPL level either, which is why I made my comment about EPL fanboys. Easy to spot, they are the folk walking about Scotland wearing Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal tops ...... avid Talksport listeners I'm sure.

The EPL, is in general, an overhyped **** league with overpaid **** players, but everyone seems to think it's a brilliant league because that's what the media tell them. My English team is West Ham as my auld man is from down there and I do usually watch the games when they are on but it really is such an overrated league IMO.
Give me Morton away on a cold Wednesday night every time.

Its only overrated depending on how a person rates it.
I dont expect every game to be amazing. But it is one of (possibly the best) league in the world - certainly in the top two or three in the world. it is inarguably the most competitive big league at the moment, and it has lots of selling points.
Of course they over-hype it, thats their job and they are damn good at it.
