Who is the trialist keeper? Seems very vocal and quite assured.

Is it Palmer again? I thought the same about him on Sunday.

Yes the keeper is Alex Palmer. We have a trialist on the bench but no idea of name or position, presume a youngster

Any idea if the trialist on the bench is a youngster or someone being considered for the first team?

Is Insall playing?

Yes he started and was still on when I left with 15 minutes to go.

First time I have seen him and I have to be honest and say he looks miles off being able to make the step up to the first team. His touch let him down quite often and the game seemed to pass him by quite a lot.

Scott Martin was good and Palmer I would imagine would be signed as he played pretty well.

One of the assistant refs was called Paul Hanlon. Just a coincidence??

Was good that neil lennon watched the game, hibs had plenty off the ball but only had about 3/4 shots on goal, spartans goalie made 2 good saves, we heard that spartans were minus 4 regulars and did not have any forwards to choose from, maybe 150/200 folk watching game

Does Insall usually play wide ? Had a good chance but didn't get much service.

Olli Shaw looks like he continues to improve.

Scott Martin looking good also.

Liked the number 14 for Hibs - Murray - looked young but very tricky. Anyone know about him?

Hibs trialist keeper was ok - decent saves and came for a cross but some really poor kicks off the ground.

Spartans keeper made several very good saves - 2nd choice keeper I believe.

Hibs technically better players against some experienced Spartans players (and some young ones who came on).

Lennon and coaching staff present.

Eddie May seems a very angry man on sidelines. We now have 2 ex jambos on coaching staff with Murray and Makel.

Trialist 2 wasn't a new player. It was Aaron Scott who was out on loan last season. He's with Hibs for a couple of weeks before heading off to Spain for a year to train at a Spanish academy and learn the lingo.

Murray and Makel have been there for a while now. Eddie on the side lines is not a good sign. Its not his job and perhaps he's under a bit more pressure now.
