Just arrived and bought a ticket in the east

I would say it is more to do with regular fans hoping for more to join them in the stands, particularly for what will be our first European fixture in three years, and only our 44th or 45th? European tie.

And our first competitive game since winning the Scottish Cup. That's the one that gets me - I pictured us almost selling out for our first game to welcome back our heroes from May!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go - as I'm someone who generally rejects the whole 'duty' thing and stands up for anyone's right to pick and choose what games they attend. I just thought there would have been a huge interest in this one.

Looking forward to it, regardless. Even if we were to be eliminated from the tie tonight (that's not a prediction!) - I can't wait to welcome the Hibees back to our pitch!

I would think that some sections in the East may turn red later.

The FF hopefully will have sections turn from green to yellow later on today.

Looking a lot better than it did on Sunday.

Picture is still the same as of 1pm, but definitely more tickets have been bought over the last few hours.

Nice weather today .... I can see quite a few walk ups tonight and decent queues at the ticket pods before the match. It was 3 years ago but I seem to recall that being the case before the Malmo game, which was also ( weather wise ) rather a nice evening.

I'm a bit more optimistic that we could hit 12 to 13 thousand .... I hope :greengrin

Steady queue of half a dozen to a dozen just now at the ticket office

I would get to ER early if you're buying before kick off

IIRC the Malmo game was looking a poor turnout then the last couple of days the tickets sold well.

I'm revising my estimate from 11k plus to 12k plus. Still slow but moving firmly into the 'Bona fide European tie' rather than 'glorified pre season friendly' zone.

Most only sit there for the cheap season ticket deals. For non-season ticket games there is an exodus to the East/West.

The lower tier is for the Family Stand and a lot of young children will not be going to a midweek match.

Blindingly obvious!

Yup, in Unst on holiday so it's a bit of a long walk to get back to ER tonight......

The sales in the East Stand are way ahead of season ticket sales. The Upper FF sales are clearly ahead of season ticket sales.

The West Stand looks rather similar.

The Lower FF is the one section considerably behind season ticket sales.

Is it not just the case that a lot of people in the famous five take the opportunity to sit elsewhere for these games since there's no reduced pricing for these seats unlike with season tickets?

A lot of the kids go with their parents to the FF for League matches because of the prices, either walk up or season ticket.

When it comes to games like tonight the prices are the same all round the ground so they sit where they would probably like to be all season.

Simples (I think) :greengrin

Yes. I stayed faithful to FF as I find the East vulgar and the West too snooty.

having a look now id guess by kick off the east will be 95% full, west 90%, the ff who knows, hopefully sales will pick up there with the limited options left in the other stands.

I'd be surprised if there's less than 12K there come kick-off time.

By that reckoning you'd be looking at paying 80/90 quid to see Barcelona if they came to ER?

I actually think he made a good point.

Although, with your reasoning, Celtc should be charging about 50p for their home leg.

When buying online - select the printFast at home option.

You will then be sent an email with the tickets - open the email and PRINT - your printed ticket should have a BARCODE on it which you scan as you enter the stadium.

Very simple - hope that makes sense.

Tickets moved to e pods are taken offline, we will not have nearly sold out yet

Was just round at my mum's picking the kids up and she has a Spanish student staying for 3 weeks while he studies at the Edinburgh School of English. He came in from school in a hurry cause him and a load of other students from the school are meeting up town and going to the game. Apparently it was promoted as a thing to do in the city by the school which I thought was decent.

love a dot count me. Back in a mo…. :green grin

OK, so far too many dots to count, but Im estimating currently 13.5K seats taken in the Home end (assuming none of the posh seats in the west are taken).

Am on holiday so cant go but if you ate right and we end up with nearly 14 000 sold in home end that's a very decent turn out given how only recently the club were saying the game was coming too soon

Huge queue for tickets.

I'm annoyed - only in the queue as the scanner said my ticket had been used. Was scanned as I went into the BTG and sure that's caused problems.

Well its not on tv so they can delay kick off to let the huge late crowd cheer out The Current Scottish Cup Winners

I'm sure a few will have reason to do so, but there is surely a better solution for most than to stand in a lenghthy and slow moving queue a few minutes before KO when print at home (or work..) is freely available. I'd say there were as many in the ticket office queue at 7.45 than there were Brondby fans in the ground.
