For those looking to escape the Carlsberg for a couple of hours on Wednesday 20th July FC Copenhagen are playing Crusaders of Northern Ireland in a Champions League qualifier in the Parken Stadium. I'm sure the Crusaders supporters would love to see us.......

Isn't it Linfield who are the wee Rangers in Northern Ireland?

They're the biggest but it's fair to say there is an element amongst the support of a good few of the top teams in NI that might see us as representing an alternative cultural heritage to their own unfortunately.

Is this definitely the 20th? I'm seeing the 19th on Crusaders' site

Crusaders have a predominately loyalist or unionist support but to be fair, I don't think they are as vociferous about it as linfield

Tuesday 19th according to the FCK website. Pity, That might have been worthwhile.

I wouldn't have thought they would be in Copenhagen in numbers, they retained the league title in NI last season with gates of around 1,500 and I'm guessing quite few of them inclined to travel have just returned from France and the Euros and will have spent up!!

They've got a charter plane going out on the Tuesday back on the Wednesday. Unlikely to see many of them but I doubt there would be bother anyway.

Fair enough but a charter plane can be anything from a 4 seater to a jumbo :greengrin

To be honest we see enough of that stuff in Scotland with Sevco without actively going looking for it ..... I'd rather have a pint of Carlsberg outside a nice boozer any old day than going on a bigot watch day trip.
