Well that's a fix. But a great chance to put them in their place.

That'll be the acid test. In all honesty, let's hope we can do what Rangers did in the Challenge Cup - absolutely pump them and leave their confidence reeling for the first couple months of the season.

I honestly can't ever remember playing xmas eve or on the 31st but I like the sound of them.

Hopefully the loyalty scheme is still in play for the first game of the season.

Two opening away games on the bounce . The Scittish cup holders should start with a home game imo , to parade the cup .
Good chance to put Uncle Fester in his place early on .

Well TBH if we have ambitions to win this league the 1st 4 games are ones to show exactly what we are all about, win them with ease and all the other teams will be scared to play us, time to put down a marker and get out this ****ty league.

ALBA still have a deal but think they have restrictions on how many times they can show the same team and broadcast from the same stadium.
Not sure about BT. Think their deal is with the SPFL so could potentially show some of our games, it's just a case if they want to show any championship games now rangers aren't in it. I don't think they will.

Sorry, I must've forgot the time we played Dumbarton away off the back of a Scottish Cup win, just performed a huge coup with the appointment of our new manager and when games against them the season before there had been serious bite.

Demand will be through the roof for this one.

Demand was going to be through the roof for that one too, remember the discussions on here demanding even more bands in the loyalty points Scheme because people would miss out? It will be the usual fretting and fussing before this one too. We should really all learn to relax more. :greengrin

we couldn't of got a better opening game than this one Chance to impose ourselves from the off on one of our rivals ,and no room for complacency. Will focus minds and Lemon will be determined to get off to a flier
The next game at home to pars can then be a sell out
Lets keep the positive vibes going .Even theHibs Shop will be fully stocked with cup winning merchandise next week !!!!!! [emoji471][emoji857]

Didn't think Scotland games impacted our league . Yes if we have three players away , we can get the game moved .
Might be league cup games .

They do now.

What worries me is there's an Old Firm game immediately after a round of Scotland fixtures. IIRC I thought the league was ordered not to do that again, as there were loads of OF call-offs for Scotland, with the players remarkably recovering in time for the OF Derby, seem to recall Scott Brown and Barry the Crab were the two high profile "injuries".

How are the seasons fixtures determined and by whom? Was it just pure coincidence Hibs were drawn against Falkirk in the first game of the season?

Our last game of last season happens to be the first game of this season. Hmmmm.

Same fixture has been thrown up in the NFL. Last seasons Super Bowl - Broncos v Panthers. First game of this season. Broncos v Panthers at the Mile High.

Hmmmmm.

Reading through the fixtures brings home that it will be very tough this year, lots of teams in there that can get results against us on any given day. Still, they should be beating each other a fair bit too.

Dundee United have a relatively easy start and should get a number of points in their first 4 games.

About as tough a start as we'll get in this league. Really important we start off by going on a good run. I think if we start edging ahead early on we'll walk the division

I'm convinced this is fixed, the paranoia in me thinks the establishment want to make it as hard as possible for Hibs. The only way to get back at them is by winning our opening games leaving the others in our wake. 👍
