Did you mean to to me?
I was talking about Russian fans causing trouble in 2012 and asking if England fans caused bother too.
Yes they did. Extremely limited reporting on it as you would expect, but yes, some of them did cause bother.

I hear UEFA will meet today to throw England out of the competition after more serious trouble last night though cleverely editited by the mainstream media to minimize the impact.
Aye right Tonto empty threats of course as absolutely nothing will happen.
Bollocks lol. The threat of expulsion was for violence within the stadium, and seeing how they haven't played a game since, I highly doubt there will have been English battling within a stadium.

UK TV may have edited the footage. The various other European broadcasters won't have done so.
However, UEFA won't throw teams out of their competition because of violence away from the stadium.
They have no authority or control over people in the streets.

:agree:
Tbf UEFA's authority does not extend to the streets surrounding the stadia.
Useful cop out for them, of course, but disturbances outside the games are for the French police to sort out.

There's no way any country will be expelled from the tournament for street violence. The Russian Ultras made a logistical mistake when they attacked English fans in the stadium but they won't do it again.

Where do you get off with your anti-English bias? If the facts don't suit your bigoted views, you just make other one's up.
I "expect" the papers to extensively cover England fans' behaviour at tournaments, as usual.
Extremely limited reporting?
Every newspaper I've looked at has extensive coverage of last night's trouble, as you would expect! Here are a selection.

I don't think it's a cop out, to be fair.
I've read reports that some Russian hooligans were wearing Man United and Chelsea shirts last night.
Neither the FA or UEFA have any control over who is in a given city at any given time.

So far in the Engerland group there's been two 2 -1 wins and a 1 -1 draw . Two more 1 -1 draws and a 2 -1 win for Russia against Wales and there will four teams with equal points and equal goal difference and goals for as well.
sort that one out UEFA ! :greengrin

Good Morning Britain just ran a report claiming it was a 'cultural clash' and its was all the polices fault
No jokes.
Haha. "Failure of multiculturalism" when it's over here but just a wee harmless "cultural clash" over there.

Blimey. Perhaps fence off a field and they can sort it out though a square go!

Your arithmetic's wrong. These results give Wales 5 points, England only 3.

And out of all that I still can't see what was on sky news from last night, England fans goading French fans and then attacking them and assaulting them, clear as night so it was, why have sky news not shown that again, quite clear who was causing trouble but sky news don't show it again, and blame the police and Russian fans, English fans were just having a good time and the French polis steamed in, is how it is coming over in the media.

What are you slavering about? Whats "bigoted" or "anti-English" about calling out some English fans as thugs?
I know there are articles about the attacks from this Euro competition. But I was referring back to 2012. Besides, the articles that you link to are hardly the front page headlines. The front page headlines would have you believe that every single England fan over there is an innocent angel who took an unfortunate wrong turn down the street.

It's a cop out because the scheduling of the England v Russia game, in Marseille, at night, was clearly a mistake. Easy to say in retrospect, perhaps, but the fact that English fans have previous in Marseille, and Russian football gang culture, really should have raised alarm bells.
This is UEFA's mistake - they did not cause the violence, of course, but they have certainly made policing the event a lot harder.

Interesting that people are reporting sky neglecting to mention the misbehaviour of the England fans when they were more than happy to stick the knife in on Hibs on cup final day. Tarnished Triumph was their headline on sky sports news

the Hungarians taking a turn now as well
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36568629
Hungary supporters clashed with stewards and riot police inside the Stade Velodrome before their side's Euro 2016 match against Iceland.
Fans had been trying to climb a fence at the stadium, in Marseille, to join up with another group of supporters when stewards got involved.
in years to come the 2016 tournament will probably be best remembered for all the trouble :bitchy: you have to feel sorry for the Hosts

They might as well throw everybody out and have done with it.

Was at the Iceland v Hungary game yesterday. Didn't see any of the trouble at all. Did see a snatch squad of riot police target one specific Hungarian after the match and with military precision swoop in and cart him away. Probably identified for the earlier trouble.
Did make me think though, watching events on tv make things look very different. Marseille looked a warzone last week with the English and Russians, but in reality it would have probably been quite easy to be just a few streets away and oblivious to it all given just how many people there are in the city.

Of course there is a hardcore of far right nutters in the England support; also the Russia support and indeed amongst the support of many nations. It's all so predictable that they will disgrace themselves and their country. It would be a shame to make the decent majority suffer because of the loonies, but there has to come a point when enough is enough and bans have to be considered.
