Germans and Ukranians have had a go at it now.
In the odd years between World Cups and Euros, I think there really is scope for a world championship in throwing patio furniture.
Maybe that's the answer. Just ban sales of cheap, plastic furniture in the months before a tournament.
Anyone found in possesion of a B&Q loyalty card has to surrender their passport.

God forbid an actual terrorist incident in the middle of all this.
If it did, the tournament would surely have to be abandoned.
It may not even take a terrorist incident the way things are going.

Complete ********s, the lot of them. Stretching the police and security to have a fight, whilst leaving the rest wide open to terrorists. Absolute balloons..!

Red, white and blue is a very toxic mixture when it comes to football fans.

I see the Marseille fans are parading pictures of the flags they stole from England fans on Twitter. Seriously are these guys about 12? Stealing flags from each other then showing off about it. Pathetic.
Ukraine and Germany going at it now as well.

I think its a worry. Have all these fans from different European countries had battles in previous tournaments ?

I'm not sure. I know England fans have caused trouble over the years and Russia have a bad reputation too, but it's usually peaceful otherwise.
I think it's changed.

If you are at all squeamish I'd recommend you don't watch this video, as an England fan appears to get quite seriously hurt here.
I've heard some people paint the trouble as in the main defenseless England fans being jumped by groups of Russian thugs. In this video at least it's not what happens at all.

Might be wrong but I thought that Linekar was basically glossing over the trouble outside the games as UEFA will only take action if its in the ground.

He maybe was. But Murphy came out with this 5 mins into his co commentary on this game. I just hope he meant the idiots causing the bother have learned their lesson (that will never happen imo) and perhaps didn't express it very well

What a disgrace that an International Football Tournament has turned into fight club for erseholes. Mighty relieved none of my friends or relatives are there.
I was in Marseille the last 2 nights. Both to blame. And the Marseille young team.

That is shocking. The 2 or 3 guys booting him in the head at the end when he's already either out cold or close to it are pretty despicable.
Agree with the last part of your post though, in that video at least it looks like 2 'mobs' both going for it.

I know, there really is no need for it. You feel sorry for the guy in red but he wasn't exactly an innocent passer-by.
I agree with what Scouse said above as well, tens of millions of people will have been looking forward to this tournament for months and so far every day we've seen video after video after video of drunken eejits causing havoc. I just hope these idiots don't distract the French police too much and leave them more susceptible to a Paris style attack. That would be unbearable.

Anyone caught being involved in this kind of thing should have their passport removed for a painfully long period. A five year travelling ban for a first offence would be a good start.

Was one of the worst 90 minute experiences but I had to watch the game in pub down here in Essex with friends. This song was song a number of times along with F*** the IRA and a song about paedophiles and Adam Johnson. Very weird bunch of fans who even in a pub full of their own were weirdly aggressive including squaring up too and pointing at the TV as if it was a real person?!
Horrible 90min experience to be part of but a cracker of a 2 minutes at the end. :greengrin. Place went dead silent in a instant and gobsmacked faces were all over. I had a quick swig of the bevvy and slyle checked my phone under the table to see a massive GET IT RIGHT UP YE'S!!! from my cousin :greengrin:greengrin:aok::aok:.

That's awful.
Some of the footage of the violence is unbelievable too. Sad times in what should be a festival of football.
We were getting a hire car yesterday and there were 4 '50-something' England guys behind us in the queue, one had a Scottish accent though.
The one with the Scottish accent was trying to compare the Russian escapades in the stadium with Hibs in the cup final.:hilarious

Was he bald? Did he have a 2 worded tattoo which included an image of a red hand?
Unfortunately, it could have been 1 in about 50,000 people i've came across.

What's happening with the engerland fans is utterly predictable and depressing. England v Russia was surely the biggest powderkeg game of the opening phase. So they play it at 9pm local time so fans ate tanked up on booze and then the game is played in Marseilles where engerland fans have history of violence. England v Wales is on at 3pm in a small stadium where there will be a huge crowd and little chance of trouble. Bar chucking out engerland and Russia I can't really see what can be done when two sets of fans are so set on causing mayhem. Makes traynor and the Glasgow press utterances about the riots at hampden now seem utterly preposterous. Makes my blood boil when I think of the lies said and printed and all because the Rangers lost a game of football. The likes of Gordon Smith, tam Cowan and loads of respective hacks should apologise for their statements when the full facts come out. Gordon Smith saying it was worse than 1980 when rows of horses charged the fans with batons is beyond belief. I know we are meant to have a free press but some of the stuff was and is utterly disgraceful. Sorry for the rant but I'm utterly raging about the whole thing. Finally I feel for the French people having to yet again put up with the mayhem.
Ggtth.

Straight from the pen of Jimski Traynorov I reckon.
Was in Newcastle at weekend and the German bomber song was all over the place.
Group of Port Vale fans on stag doo were into the '**** the IRA' and a number of 'dirty fenian B's' thrown in.
TBH that was mild compared to the racist signing and that they were proud to be racists!
Pint was swiftly downed and left sharpish! Was crazy!
