Price is about what I was expecting and it's good that they have late slots during the week.

I don't understand why they can only take one photo in a 30 minute period though. Why can't they charge £15 for the slot that comes with one free photo and then any additional photos during the 30 minutes could be charged at an extra £5 each??

Would imagine there will be more than one booking per each 30 minutes to get as many done as possible.

I've booked my slot already

No, two people can get a photo together in the same 30 minute slot. If you also want individual photos with the Scottish Cup you'd each need to book another slot though. That's my understanding of it anyway.

You wont be getting a full half hour, you will have a half hour period where you can turn up and get the photo taken. There will probably be 10 to 15 places per half hour slot giving every group a couple of minutes max to get in get the photo taken before moving on to pick up your print.

Its just to avoid having big queues of people to manage throughout the day.

I agree the official sites a bit confusing referring to adults rather than slots.

If you want one photo with up to 6 people in that photo you book 1 slot and pay £15.

If you want one photo of you on your own and another with you and up to 5 others you book 2 slots and pay £15 for each slot. You can then buy additional prints of the photo at a cost of £5 each.

So if you and 2 kids went up and you wanted one of the 3 of you and one of you on your own it will cost

1 x group slot £15
1 x single slot £15
total £30

If you then wanted on the day for each of the kids to have their own copy of the group pic you pay an extra £10 and get the 2 extra prints.

The 30 minute slot will actually be for a number of people not just you.

Hope that answers everyone's questions.

I added access to my ST card because it came up with usual ticket delivery options! Paid £30 for my son and me so guess that means two pictures, but not entirely clear. Will be taking my ST card and a printed confirmation with me.

Seems an odd format.

If you've ever been to a graduation ceremony, you book beforehand then queue up with hundreds of others and you've got, perhaps, 1 minute to straighten your tie, smile - CH! - and you're out the door, but it works. It helps having several snappers set up at the same time.

Logistically I've got to get two from here to meet up with Big Boy who has to come down from Aberdeen for a Friday night as that's the only time which we'd manage, maybe.

Not ideal.

Not sure on that one but I can't see it being a problem. The original Scottish Cup is at Hampden and never leaves there seemingly. In fact it is swapped in the tunnel immediately after the presentation and the replica is used for the walk around the pitch that normally happens. I'm hoping that as it's the replica touching it won't be an issue but I don't know that for certain.

Not really sure what you mean to be honest but you can just ignore any reference to the seat number.

Pick the slot you want and buy one ticket and that'll give you one picture with you and the wife, if you want a second photo on your own then buy two tickets.

It would be helpful if they could remove the slots which are fully booked or just announce that the whole thing is fully
booked if that's the case.

They have by taking away the Avitar on the left hand side, indicating that there are no time slots left.

Booked my slot. Friday at 11:00! (only one available) Just got to tell the missus now. We're on our way back to Renfrew from Haggerston Castle that day... She was probably hoping for a nice easy morning and drive back home. We have a 2 year old so mornings can be stressful at the best of times, now we will be up, breakfast and sharp up the road to ER...

She's gonna kill me!

Winning the thing was enough for me, only ever wanted my photo taken with a trophy when I was a kid. If it's your thing hope you all get the photos you want.

I'm with you on that! I'd like to see it up close though (even if it is a replica), be cool if they could put it in some sort of glass feature in the club shop but can't see it happening for security reasons!

That would be my concern. If me and a mate book for the same time slot separately, can we get an individual photo taken each and then a "group" one - i.e. the 2 of us together?

All hypothetical at the moment right enough as I'm next back in July and who knows if it'll still be on offer then.

All slots fully booked on the Friday evening. I'm working in London next week so hopefully more days will be added in the coming weeks.

No wonder the slots quickly sold out as £15 is great value to instantly receive a photo taken by a professional photographer of such an iconic trophy. Well done Hibs!!

At the height of their tax avoiding, cheating best, Rangers (RIP) had a shop unit in Stirling Thistle Centre and had trophy/ies, backdrop and photographer that was an open drop-in session. They probably never paid the rent and passed on the VAT to HMRC.

Once the stadium shoots are done, taking the cup on the road for some drop-in sessions might be a good earner. Eg, The Gyle, Ocean Terminal or Cardigan World in Dalry Road.........

If the London Boys can guarantee "x" customers for the club, then why not?

Why would they stop fans from touching it? Is it to ensure it stays looking pristine and shiny for every shot?

If that's the case then why not have soneone there giving the handles a quick wipe down between sessions? It would cost about 50 quid to pay someone to be there for the day. Hibs will be making that pretty much every ten minutes from this.

They print out your photo there and then. Additional copies cost a fiver which are also printed while you wait. They later email you your photo to do what you want with it.

Seen pictures of taxi drivers posing with it. So they get to hold it but supporters who pay £15 don't. Would like Amit or Frank to explain that one!

Decision not made by either, it was made higher up the food chain

How did you the digital copy ?

Do you need to take a memory stick with you?

On the hibs website I'm sure it said you will get it emailed....

I've seen a couple of photos, one just standing next to Cup, the other one person either side with their hands on the handle and another person standing behind, both versions look great. I can understand not lifting cup up but can't see what the problem is with touching the handle. My 89 old Mum will be touching the handle she's waited all these years, I'm sure they won't give her a row

I could've been quite happy not lifting it if I'd known that was the case beforehand. They'd published an FAQ on the website and not provided any answer, even though that was bound to be far and away the main question people wanted to ask.

They've been a wee bit evasive, though the fact the cup is even there in the first place still makes up for it.

Some people just love a moan, the club will never win.

People should feel lucky they are even getting to see the Scottish Cup in Hibs colours!

Hearts fans could pick it up when they did it. As had been pointed out, taxi drivers could hold it. Poor show IMHO.

I personally feel that for £15 people should be allowed to hold it.

Not particularly bothered though, I'll be happy just to have my photo taken with it and to be able to grab hold of one of the handles, as others appear to have done today.

Yes, if your looking at the cup front on, it's on the base right hand side.
1902 win is on the trophy itself.

Appreciate if you post how you get on - I was same no option for print at home.

No problem. I turned up, they asked my name and the tickets were there on the table, not posted out. I'm a bit irritated at having parted with £1 for non-existent postage but in the grand scheme of things who cares. We won the cup.

What size is the print does anyone know? I assume the quality of the digital file is decent - although don't think my partner will appreciate the 160" one i'm getting printed for the living room.

So Hibs name is ALWAYS on the cup then. Good to know. You know the old phrase "their name is on the cup this year". Seems we needn't have worried. It been on there all the time. :greengrin:greengrin

Really quick process. Not too happy with the quality of the photo although delighted with the fact I've now got kids photo with League Cup and Scottish cup.

Saw on Hibs Paige on FB a family who had a photo taken on their iPhone. Compared the photo with tonight's from photographer and the iPhone one was 10 times better.

That seems pretty mental.

As does not being able to hold the cup, it's a replica ffs!

That said, wha cares, we won the cup!

Having seen the first batch of photos on the Hibs Facebook page, does anyone else think the backdrop of fans is OK? I'm not so sure it's fitting. Maybe a large club logo instead. What does everyone else think?

When the Ryder Cup was at Gleneagles, the trophy was taken round a few golf clubs in Scotland, and when it came to my club, I assisted with supervising as members took photos with it. The instructions from above were that nobody was to touch of hold the trophy, and that the Ryder Cup had to remain on a table for those taking pictures with it.
Probably just a standard procedure regarding such events, and the rules in holding the cup will most likely not have been imposed by Hibs.

Don't like the background at all - too busy and distracting. If that's all that's on offer, will just have to photoshop it out and replace with something cleaner.

Which would seem fair enough. But, 1 - it's a replica of the real thing. 2- there's photos of the same trophy being held above folks heads at the Edinburgh taxi day, while in previous years, other clubs have allowed their fans to hold and lift it.

Best shots are those with 2 or more folk, standing behind the cup, either holding the handles or a scarf above their heads.

Poor that you can't hold it. Some of the photos, where people are "pretending" to hold it just don't look as good as these photos should.

Before the Hibs v Celtic final, my football team had the Scottish Cup at Gyle Park on, I think it was, a random Wednesday night. Broony was our coach at the time, and he'd got a guy he knew, dunno if he was from the SFA or from whoever was doing the publicity for the cup final, to bring it to our training. We all got to hold it and get photos on our phone, and we were a bunch of erses. So I can't see why you aren't allowed to hold it for these photos.

Probably a standard instruction not to pick up or hold the cup. Speeds things up in the session and avoids some clumsy type dropping it!!! I don't want a photo with a dented cup, replica or not.

The skeleton with "1902" t-shirt is the best yet!!

Went down this morning, nobody mentioned not touching the cup, gripped onto the handles like we didn't want to let go. Photographer relaxed and let me take a photo of cup on my mobile. Can't see what the problem is with the quality and background fine. Good to finally see it up close with our name on it. Security even pointed out where we could see engraving. Good day was had by all.

When you say you took a photo with your mobile - were you in this picture or was it just a quick snap of the cup itself?
