To my dad Jim Smith who sadly passed away last night aged 83.
Dad followed Hibs through "The Famous Five" times and early sixties.
Will never forget when he took me to my first match at Easter Road in January 1971 to see JOE BAKER's return against Aberdeen and Joe capped his return with a goal.
Dad always said JOE was the best ever striker to adorn a Hibs shirt. Think he was right.

Thanks dad RIP

Sad to hear of your loss. A loss bigger than any Hibs defeat. Know what you're going through. My dad passed over 8 years ago. I have him to thank for taking me to my first game late October 1962. Been a committed Hibby ever since. It's difficult at first but chin up.:aok:

Thanks to all for kindest regards.
Unfortunately he couldn't see any footage of the great day, but when I told him it brought a big smile to his face, so at least he knew.
Once again thanks to all the Hibernian family on here.

Sorry for your loss. My own father is 81 in a couple of weeks. He made us boys be hibby's & I will always thank him & my grandmother for that. His sons, grandson & grandaughters were all at the final. My dad was with us in spirit. Joe was his favourite. God Bless the Hibs x
