What would you suggest?

Me? I'm on my way.

Loved it when we sang it at Tynecastle (even although Scotty boy announced that it was another Tynecastle sell out during it....which followed by **** off and boooooo by us) when we beat the Saintees in the League Cup Semi. Again at Easter Road when we knocked the Yams out the Scottish Cup. Think we sang it at Hampden as well.

I've played it numerous times over the past fortnight. Brilliant. :aok:

Always loved "I can Feel It" by "The Silencers". Don't care if it's considered cheesey. :greengrin

"Hibernian (Give Us A Goal)" from the Hibs CD always gives me a good buzz. :woohoo:

Hibee Hibernian

Isn't played enough at Easter Road for my liking but always reminds me of going to the games with the family through the 90's.

The words are perfect

agree :agree: would like to hear that played instead of that(lord knows what it's called) britain's got talent music thingy  think another one is Radium(or sommit like that) although not quite sure as the PA in the East can be quite difficult to make out the words/announcements....although the alarm to evacuate the stadium is quite audible :) i'm sure the PA guy was posting on here recently for 'requests'

Yes we did!

You can hear it sung by the crowd at the end of "Hibernian FC - The team that wouldn't die"

Never sure why we sung it!?

Out of interest, when did Celtic start singing YNWA?

Was it after a European game against Liverpool in the late 1990s?

No. Much earlier than that - can recall it sing in the 70s by many teams including ourselves. I believe Celtic have sung it since 60s

We used to sing ynwa when i first started going regular in the early eighties. Never questioned why we sung it and i cant remember when we stopped singing it. In any case it's really Liverpools song. SOL is every bit as good, maybe even better and it can't really be sung by any other club. It's our own and it will be sung at Hibs matches for as long as football is played.Do Craig and Charlie have to allow us for it to be our official anthem?

Tubthumping - Chumbawamba. Seems to sum up life as a Hibby over the years, and the cup final in particular

Dunno about a song for the Club but the ideal song for most posters on this site would be Joe Dolce's "Ah shaddapa ya face"

Edina by Blue Rose Code. It's criminal that this song isn't played at Easter Road every week. It's sung by a Hibby, it references singing songs on Easter Road on the way to Hibs games and getting chased by The Polis along Great Junction Street as the song meanders through the singers early childhood. The club used it in the recent purple strip launch but no one seems to have told the club DJ about it.

Love the song too. Wouldn't really say its a song for pre matches though.

They play utter tosh pre match and at half time, my ears have been assaulted by Shakira amongst others in recent months. Surely there's a place for this wee classic at some point during half time? Maybe, like Sunshine on Leith, it will take a few years after the songs release before it seeps into the publics consciousness

Agree.

Nice song but not really a footballing anthem.
