The team I play for here in Switzerland had just got bummed 5-1 so things could only get better. Was probably having a couple of cans in the flat.

The DAY of DAYS.

What ever happens at our football club from now on the one single moment in life I will never ever forget or top.

This time 2 weeks ago I was a physical and mental mess. Just broke down in a fit of joy with emotion that was to much.

Greatest moment in my life emotion wise

We headed to the Montford and were still there with a few other hardy souls drinking at 9 pm
I think I had drunk myself sober by then the number of shots consumed in celebration have no idea lost count

Sat in a car listening to Tam Cowan absolutely spewing that he's lost his material for his 'comedy' gigs in Edinburgh. 'Moral outrage' or something. Joy.

Tucking into a delicious Chinese Curry from my local take-away after coming back from Hampdump. Scouring youtube, looking for videos and checking out when Sportscene was on. Getting ready to take the dog for a walk, making sure my Jambo neighbours could see me and my beaming smile.....!!!

2 weeks on and still as fresh as yesterday. If I was to script the perfect Scottish Cup Final in my dreams, it still wouldn't have been as good as 21 May. The Huns, the sunshine, the lead, the last 10 mins, Sir David's injury time winner. I am blessed to have been there, with long-standing friends and fellow Hibbies.

:top marks Beating Hearts would have been the ultimate but beating Sevco, particularly in the manner we did it, is a very close second.

Close, but for me. Grew up with Hearts fans and still know many that are alright. The Huns are a breed apart, complete and utter animals in the 70s. Horrible institution run by criminals for dead-beats, liars, bigots and journalists. They are the Devil's own club.

Two weeks ago at this time I was very close to reaching my last memory of that particular day until I woke up the next morning at around 8:30, lying on a hotel bathroom floor, covered in chips and curry sauce that I don't even remember eating. :greengrin

Also seeing the joy on ma dads face. He has been following the Hibees for 72 years & still goes home & away every week. I salute you Dad.

My dad is 54 and has followed Hibs anywhere and everywhere since the late 60's. I'll never forget my dad's reaction 2 weeks ago when the final whistle came.

Was just leaving the Central and heading towards the Links with a carry out ready to meet more family and friends.

For all the game was absolutely great, the Sunday was marginally more enjoyable for me. The game was a rollercoaster of emotion with 1 unbelieveable high and a few other moments that came close. By the time the night came I was just drained. The Sunday was just chilled out and a huge party from the 1st pint at 11 through to the last 1 about 10 hours later. Everyone was just so happy and it was a great atmosphere to be a part of.

I was still trying to evaluate what was more emotional. The birth my son 33 years ago or seeing Hibs win the Scottish Cup for first time in my 57 years Just realised that's half of 114. Omen there somewhere.)

Have reached same conclusion as CaliforniaHibby in his video. Son only took 9 months to create. The Cup win took 57 years, so more pent up emotion is the winner - but only just.
