The Greatest.
Joe Frazier and even Henry Cooper will have something to say about this "greatest" stuff. ;-)
Love him or loathe him, he's a sporting icon and another legend that's gone this year.

I'm rarely moved by the death of 'famous' folk but I am today. Ali is up there with Lawrie Reilly, Neil Armstrong and David Bowie as personal heroes who are no longer with us. A sad day.

The Rumble In the Jungle The guy knew how to promote himself and fights
Although saw a programme about Joe Frasier and he clearly never forgave Ali for the Gorilla taunts
Not the greatest boxing fan but when he was in the ring he made it look effortless and graceful the way he danced about the the ring
Everyone probably knows the quote Betty has chosen to quote
His Michael Parkinson interviews were electric

Totally unique and an all time hero, RIP Muhammed.
Remember fondly some of the great interviews with Parkinson.

The Foreman fight was the best. He took a huge risk but it paid off.
He was such a brilliant fighter. I dunno about all the political stuff.
