Just watching the trophy presentation for the 87th time, as you do, what gets me every time is when Darren goes up for the trophy, he screams the most joyous of screams, around 16mins and 11 seconds in, pure passion.

I noticed that today as well. The other players even turned round when he screamed😂. He gets it. So happy for him!

He had a good chat with my old man (maturehibby) a few weeks back in the supermarket and came across as a really sound guy. Still talking football when DMc's wife gave up trying to get him to move along and left them to it

He's best pals with someone I know and met him a couple of times. Great guy and even bigger Hibs fan.

Scored the 1st goal of the tournament for us.
His header lead to the 2nd at Tynie.
Had a superb final.

Living the dream indeed!

I'm really happy that an actual lifetime hibbie was in the team when we finally won the thing, it was amazing being at the game but playing in it, scoring in the previous games and then winning the thing must have been one of the most amazing experiences ever. It's especially amazing when you consider he only turned pro at age 24. Well done Darren!

And also that he recovered from 2 cruciate injuries when with St Mirren.

Just prior to leaving St Mirren there were 2 clubs in for Darren; The Rangers and Hearts. He held off agreeing his future in the hope that Hibs came in for him, but it never happened at that time. He opted for Rangers and the rest is history. Living the dream now.

Never noticed that before, but played it back a lot since it was pointed out. Quality.
