Surely I can't be the only one that thinks this is totally and utterly bonkers?!

'Buying a license from Chelsea to be able to use [Mourinho's] name' is one thing Man Utd are currently considering.

They can't sign a final deal on him as a new manager as Chelsea trademarked his name back in 2005.

Has there every been anything like this in professional sport?

Read about this earlier, apparently to get sorted and Jose's at Man U tomorrow. Amazing.

Jose's agent is supposed to be the best in the world. Apparently the deal was he'd get a figure (off the top of my head £4 million) from Manchester United if he DIDN'T get the Man U job this summer.

Everything which is wrong with football right there. Which is why despite living in England and being into football I couldn't give two ****s about the EPL

Image rights and so on have been common issues for years now so nothing new. This one just seems to be getting reported in a bit more detail.
