View Full Version : Would you buy/preorder the top we wore to lift the cup

As the shop has sold out i thought it would be good to gauge the demand for who would like to own the top the Immortals wore to win the Scottish Cup. Surely if there is high enough demand the club can get more in. Preferably with the limited edition lettering under the badge with Scottish Cup and the date. (just like the players versions).

Absolutely. As you say if they get a run done with the Scottish cup final lettering like the players were wearing on the day they would sell thousands of the things. Only problem would be getting Nike to make them I suppose.

You can just see it now "worlds largest sportswear manufacturer can't make a couple of thousand green tops!

I'm sure Marathon Bet would appreciate their name being on these too - they should instigate it!

I just emailed them the same question as I have one but would love another to keep for good.

I went in the shop on Monday and they only had xxl and really didn't think Nike would make us any more. I'm a medium but got it anyway. Planning on getting it framed but one with the lettering would be amazing.

It would be smart although it's a bit harsh for Lewis to get his shirt number taken off him - he hasn't done anything wrong.

I think the club will want to wait on the release of the new strip with new sponsor on it. Scottish Cup winners 2016 under the badge and I think it will sell very well.
They won't do another run of the old one.

I'd sacrifice my first born to get my hands on one, he's bigger than me and wants one as well so I'd probably have to do it when he's sleeping.:flag:

its a bit daft if they don't do it because they think it could effect sales of next seasons tops. The cash surely all ends up in the same pot.

I don't normally buy replica tops but would the Cup final one. i imagine thousands of people fall into this bracket.

Ordered a normal one last week and it came yesterday. Didn't care for it much before but now it's associated with one of the greatest games in history, it's a thing of beauty and will definitely be preserved.

This is the other side of our kit deal. It's a big brand making our top but we've got the erse-end of a deal between some intermediary and Nikes templates. If we had a direct deal (or one where we at least had a greater say) a cup winners top would be produced no problem. People would turn their noses up at smaller brands but at least they would bend over backwards to accommodate us.
The range with LCS especially, and Puma was fantastic and the total opposite of the deal we have now.

Saying that's it because they have no more in that colour is ridiculous.

Our new sponsor will want us to be concentrating on selling the new kit with their name on it.

I bought a top for my daughter. Nagging all year for one so got it on the run up to the final to co-incide with her birthday. Also bought myself a retro Stanton top with the Harp badge. In my case, worn once and now retired. Never wearing that top again(or washing it!) and considering framing it.
