Any footage of their pitch invasion at Easter Road when they won the league about 10 years ago?

"Frustration of (a whole) 9 years without the title is over" as the Ranger fans evade the pitch, break up the goals and mob players.

Didn't see any Aberdeen fans squaring up to the mob trying to "protect their players" or police stopping Rangers coming out for a lap of honour after 25 mins. Presume Regan's dad condemned their behaviour as disgraceful.

But we all need to remember that was a different "Rangers"...er, arm... or was it. Yip, they bought the rights to the title, but not the past behaviour of their fans so that's OK. That was it :greengrin

I was thinking about that one today. I remember that there was no "riot" due to our fans self discipline.

What punishment did they get that day?

very interesting - complete with the Billy Boys and a swing at an Aberdeen player near the end as well - and commentary of the 'exuberant' sort. Makes you sick really the complete and total hypocrisy.

Pitch invasions by fans to celebrate cup wins, promotion, other huge results are far from uncommon.

Fans of losing teams in such matches also invading pitches to battle the winning side supporters is almost unique.

In fact its an action only taken previously by Rangers fans ( 1980 League Cup ) in Scotland at any rate.

1980 was the Scottish cup I think but agree with every other word :greengrin.

Great point and it's this sort of stuff which should be made available to the independent inquiry. Sevco have a long list of previous for violent behaviour within and outwith stadiums going way back. Bad losers, violent fans with a large dose of sectarian prejudice. I was at Ibrox in September 1984 when a young Hibs player called Kevin McKee was punched by a Sevco fan during the game. Another example below.
