'Hibsing it' (verb): To persevere to an end goal of ultimate success despite the odds and history being against you overwhelmingly. e.g. They really Hibsed it when they came from two behind against the Jambos to end up winning the Scottish Cup

See all the people wanting to get 'Hibsing' into the Oxford English Dictionary? There's your definition right there. Right up there with the very, very best weekends of my life.

We shut up a lot of naysayers and court jesters this weekend. What an amazing, amazing two days.

How apt that in the season this very term came to prominence, we won the Scottish Cup.

The man who really hibsed it was David Gray. Looked like he was going to have to go off after overstretching in a break-stopping tackle, then again after a clash of heads with Lewis. Five minutes later he's putting his head on the line to blast home the winner. A captain's goal if ever there was one, but he'll have a lot of sore bits today.
